Job Description:

Senior UX Designer (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Chicago, Illinois) - Explore and deliver on the analysis, exploration, design, and implementation of quality BCG products and solutions in collaboration with teams and stakeholders. Specific job duties include: Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that deliver intuitive user experiences; create responsive user interface design mockups for dashboards, mobile and web applications, interactive simulations, and prototypes; responsible for user-centered design, planning and conducting user research, user testing, NB testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns; drive early concept phase; identify design problems and develop solutions; develop visual designs and user experience solutions that work across services; carry out visual quality control to ensure implementation adheres to design specifications; support UX Design Leads in the development of junior designers and provide junior members with practical guidance; support user experience and design efforts, partnering with business and engineering to solve goals and challenges for BCG products and their users; work with internal clients and external clients to answer questions and monitor progress; and take responsibility for the security and risk angles of performed. Requires a Bachelors degree in graphic design, media design, HCI or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a UX Designer or, alternatively, a Masters degree in graphic design, media design, HCI or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a UX Designer. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): translating concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that deliver intuitive user experiences; creating responsive user interface design mockups for dashboards, mobile and web applications, interactive simulations, prototypes and more; user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns; driving early concept phase and identifying design problems and exploring solutions; carrying out visual quality control to ensure implementation adheres to design specifications; ensuring execution of work from design concept to implementation; leading user experience and design efforts, partnering with business and engineering to solve goals and challenges for our products and their users; creating wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, mock-ups, POCs, simulating interactions and interaction journeys and maps; and working with Adobe creative suite, interaction design principles, and user-centered design and design thinking methodologies.
