Job Description:

The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. seeks Senior Business Systems & Quality

Assurance Analyst in Chicago, Illinois.

Duties: Support the business needs of BCG practice areas, consulting teams,

and their clients by identifying and analyzing business needs and

requirements and performing research for viable technical and non-technical

solutions. Specific duties include: evaluate new technology and systems

that could be used to fulfill business needs; participate in the creation

of functional business software prototypes based on MS Excel and Access to

support client project teams and their clients; participate in the design

and development of business software tools that leverage practice area

expertise and serve internal business and client needs; write test and

quality control plans, and carry out procedures to ensure that systems,

applications, and tools meet high quality standards and client end-user

requirements; thoroughly test software to ensure quality; assist in writing

user documentation and provide first-class user training, assistance and

support to BCG and client software users; document, track and monitor bugs,

problems and issues, and work with development team to ensure timely

resolution; and participate in the maintenance and rapid enhancement of

software tools as required by the tools' users.

Requirements: Master's degree in Business Administration, Management

Information Systems, or a related field (willing to accept foreign

education equivalent) and one year of experience in job offered or one year

of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or, alternatively, a Bachelor's

degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a

related field and 6 years experience as noted above. Also requires

demonstrated experience with: organizing business change plans into well

structured Program Management processes utilizing knowledge of business

functions and business change processes; analyzing organizational data

including complex matrix organization structures, and identify and fix data

issues using knowledge of spans of control, positions' layers and levels,

reporting lines, roles, and costs centers; performing sophisticated data

analysis in Microsoft Excel, create Access based models, and utilize

knowledge of software development methodologies to design and develop

working business software tool prototypes in Microsoft Excel and Access to

validate business requirements; and designing and developing software test

plans, performing functional, regression, performance, load and end user

acceptance testing, and working with application users and development team

to troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and find

solutions.
