Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse <BR><BR>Skills Required <BR>Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, RN, LPN, Geriatric, Illinois License<BR><BR>Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse.<BR><BR>Location: Chicago, Illinois.<BR>Salary: $40,000 to $85,000 annually. (Depends on experience)<BR><BR>If you are a great Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse with experience, please read on!<BR><BR>Position Description: <BR>The nurse will be responsible for a multitude of tasks related to both the retirement building & our company. The nurse must perform daily duties and tasks with minimal supervision. He/she will be responsible for management/supervision of our companies private duty caregivers; making certain both retirement building and the policies and procedures are followed. The nurse will provide support for the retirement building management & Residents. The nurse will perform nursing tasks including but not limited to filling of pill boxes, injections, dressing changes and physical assessments. Hours are Monday through Friday.<BR><BR>Qualifications: <BR>*Must be a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse. (RN or LPN)<BR>*Have a valid Nursing License in the State of Illinois with at least 3 years of Nursing experience. <BR>*Must have excellent administrative, management and communication skills.<BR>*Must have mature judgment and emotional stability. <BR>*Two years of experience in geriatrics is preferred.<BR>*The nurse reports directly to the Executive Director.<BR><BR>Duties:<BR>*Manage/Schedule Catered Services & Catered Living Plans.<BR>*Monitor compliance of private duty caregivers in keeping with the policies of both our company and the retirement building.<BR>*Maintain scheduled office hours for blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring.<BR>*Respond to Resident emergency calls and report findings to MD and family, or call 911.<BR>*Attend weekly plan meetings at the retirement building.<BR>*Fill Resident pillboxes, administer injections and perform simple dressing changes.<BR>*Refer to Residents to a home health care agency when skilled needs are recognized.<BR>*Communicate with Resident's Physicians regarding Resident's needs, medication and/or treatment changes. Follow up with report to Director of Resident Services and families when appropriate.<BR>*Visit all new residents within 48 hours to establish a Plan of Care and have start of care information completed and signed.<BR>*Visit all new Residents within 1 business day to evaluate for care and report findings/concerns to Director of Resident Services.<BR>*Evaluate Residents to follow up on incident reports, hospitalizations and staff concerns.
