Manufacturing Production Lead - Fortune 500 Company - Chicago,
IL 60629A leading and innovative manufacturing company dedicated to
producing high-quality products for a diverse clientele is seeking
a Manufacturing Production Lead for their state-of-the-art
facility. With a focus on continuous improvement, cutting-edge
technology, and customer satisfaction, we have established
ourselves as a prominent player in the industry. As we continue to
grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing
Production Lead to join our dynamic team and contribute to our
mission of delivering excellence in manufacturing.Compensation:
$90k - 110k Total Compensation. $75k-85k Base Salary +
Overtime.Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision, 15-20 days PTO,
etc.Schedule: Monday - Friday. Shift Flexibility preferred.1st
shift: 8am - 3pm.2nd shift: 3pm - 12am.3rd Shift: 12am -
8am.Weekend Coverage 2x a month (with overtime pay), 6th day 1.5x
pay, 7th day 2x pay.Responsibilities:Management: Lead, mentor, and
develop a team of production operators, ensuring optimal
performance and fostering a positive work environment. Monitor and
evaluate team members' performance, providing constructive feedback
and implementing performance improvement plans as needed.
Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth
coordination of activities across the organization.Production
Oversight: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the
production floor, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing
processes. Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as
needed to meet production targets and customer demands.Team
Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of production operators,
providing guidance, support, and training to foster a culture of
excellence, teamwork, and safety. Conduct regular performance
evaluations and implement development plans to maximize the team's
potential.Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance
department to maintain and uphold strict quality standards
throughout the production process. Ensure compliance with quality
control procedures and address any non-conformance issues promptly
and effectively.Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of
continuous improvement, applying Lean Manufacturing principles and
other improvement methodologies to optimize processes, reduce
waste, and increase productivity. Lead and participate in Kaizen
events and improvement projects.Production Efficiency: Implement
best practices to maximize production efficiency and minimize
downtime. Utilize data-driven approaches and performance metrics to
identify areas for improvement and implement effective
solutions.Safety Compliance: Uphold and enforce safety protocols
and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all
employees. Conduct safety training sessions and promote a
safety-first mindset among the production team.Resource Management:
Optimize resource allocation, including materials, manpower, and
equipment, to achieve production goals in a cost-effective
manner.Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective
communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams,
including Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to ensure
seamless coordination and alignment in achieving production
objectives.Requirements:Proven experience in a supervisory role
within a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
principles and continuous improvement methodologies: (Six Sigma,
5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen Events, DMAIC, 8-Disciplines,
PDCA, RCA, TPM, Poka-Yoke, SMED, and other CI tools)Excellent
leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to
collaborate cross-functionally and drive positive change throughout
the organization.High level of attention to detail, with a focus on
quality and efficiency.Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire
