This is an exciting opportunity for an entry level accounting professional to get started as a Staff Accountant with a growing organizationDuties and Responsibilities:* Prepare validations and variance analysis of gross revenue and monthly billing statements* Reconcile monthly payment summaries, escrow deficits, and mortgage receivables for borrower and servicer collections* Prepare monthly servicing deck summarizing monthly activities* Monitor loan portfolio while managing the claims and open foreclose activity* Reconcile various balance sheet accounts* Assist with quarterly reporting preparation (MBFR and NMLS Call Report)* Assist with preparing audit schedules for internal/external audits* Ensure accounting tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner* Post journal entries and cash receipts* Identify issues and follow through its resolution* Research and resolve day-to-day financial reporting issues and assist with new transactions to ensure proper application of US GAAP and industry reporting requirementsPosition requirements:* Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance* CPA Preferred* Mortgage company experience preferred* 1 - 3 years professional accounting experience* Strong analytical and accounting skills* Advanced Excel and Word skills* Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills* Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines/assignments* Personal motivation and a sense of ownership* Excellent written and verbal communication skillsGuaranteed Rate is an Equal Opportunity Employer that welcomes and encourages all applicants to apply regardless of age, race, sex, religion, color, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital or parental status, ancestry, citizenship status, pregnancy or other reason protected by law.
