What you get to do: We are looking for a BSA/AML Senior Associate
to join OppFi's Compliance department! You will report directly to
our Sr Director, BSA/AML. You will support BSA/AML/Fraud program
management and oversight.
- Provide help and guidance and coach to management while working
with a collaborative compliance team and other team members in
BSA/AML/Fraud and the business to provide guidance for new plans
and changes that impact important risk controls, systems processes
and training
- Manage implementation and ongoing support of BSA/Fraud
department's transaction monitoring and customer due diligence
platform
- Take lead in responding to partner bank and auditor requests
about BSA/AML/Fraud controls and policies
- Develop reporting of important metrics/KRIs and other
measurements on the effectiveness of the BSA/AML/Fraud Program,
risks and controls
- Review and provide Compliance approval of exception requests,
new projects and business changes
- Influence partners to make necessary enhancements to controls
and systems and training
- Be on special projects and tasks for the BSA/AML/Fraud
department
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of technical BSA/AML/Fraud
regulatory and risk management requirements and shows commitment to
continuing involvement in training, certification and
activities
- Assimilate complex information and communicate alternative
- Identify necessary resources and actions to handle important
work demands
- Demonstrate the ability to bring order to complex and unclear
problems
- Seek and embrace opportunities to learn the business and gain
exposure to different areas in the organization and
perspectives
- Changes behavior in response to feedback and learns from
experience
- Set and exemplify and hold self and others accountable for
conduct What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree required, JD preferred
- 3+ years experience with BSA/AML/Fraud or compliance risk
management or audit/exams at a financial institution
- Knowledge of federal regulations under which OppFi operates;
the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Fair Credit Reporting
Act (FCRA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Sanction
requirements and other financial crimes prevention laws,
regulations and guidance.
- Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office .
- Excellent in verbal, writing, and research - Reports to: Sr
Director, BSA/AML Job Level: Senior Associate The minimum salary
for this role is $88,000 . The total compensation package includes
eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time
equity grant based on level. The actual offer, reflecting the total
compensation package and benefits, will be at the company's sole
discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but
not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other
