contributing member of the Finance department the Financial Analyst
serves the organization's staff, department managers, and
Federation members through financial planning and reporting. The
ideal candidate for this role is someone with an educational
background in finance or accounting. The Financial Analyst is
responsible for the organizations' expense management, corporate
credit card program, and travel-related invoice payment processes.
This position contributes to the presentation and management of the
annual budget to support the organization's strategic objectives
and assists the Finance team with projects and analysis as
necessary.Primary Responsibilities Assists with the consolidation
and reporting of the annual federation budget and corresponding
forecasts, including department detail, department summaries, and
top-line corporate summaries Creates departmental deliverables,
including presentation decks on financial reporting Manages the
federation's corporate credit card program, including requesting
new cards, supervising employee's reconciliation process, and
communicating with credit card provider Maintains the federation's
expense management platform, including setting up and training new
users, and assists with related technology migrations of financial
programs Has in depth knowledge of and maintains the federation's
financial chart of accounts Manages the company high-limit vendor
credit card and assists with AP/AR processes as needed Assists as
needed with monthly financial close activities Conducts data
analysis to assess financial trends & corporate activity to support
department's strategic decision making Completes moderately complex
calculations, formulas, and functions such as VLOOKUP, filters,
data validation, conditional formatting, and pivot tables in
Microsoft Excel Tracks and records federation grants to ensure
proper spending and use of funds Supports special projects and
additional analysis as required Minimum Qualifications Degree in
Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field Prior industry
experience in financial planning & analysis Strong understanding of
bookkeeping and accounting principles Proficient skills with
Microsoft Office products with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational and
analytical skills Strong verbal, written and in-person
communication skills Ability to deliver high quality work and
execute under pressure and deadlines Exceptional time management
skills and ability to prioritize workflow Able and willing to work
non-traditional hours including evenings & weekends as needed
Desired Qualifications 1-2 years of finance or accounting
experience with demonstrated performance Experience with ERP (Sage,
Intacct, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, MIP, etc.) and reporting systems
Experience with various expense management and finance software
including but not limited to Chrome River, Concur, Adobe, HRIS
Prior experience working at either a non-for-profit, financial
services, or public accounting firm Passion for soccer is a plus
