Job Description:
Macquarie Futures utilizes a combination of some of the most
robust vendor provided Direct Market Access (DMA) systems to
provide clients with seamless trade processing. Macquarie's trading
process is automated from the point of execution through to client
confirmations, statements, and data production, with real-time
clearing access for clients. Due to our growing client base, we are
looking to add a trade support analyst with execution knowledge
and/or experience to our global Trading Solutions team, sitting in
our Chicago office, with remote days being flexible. This candidate
will provide support to our global client base during US market
hours, ensuring seamless 24-hour global coverage.In this role, you
will manage and provide daily front line support to traders and
customers. Day to day tasks will include documenting operational
processes for end user training and managing the production
knowledgebase. You will be responsible for technical leadership and
analysis, planning, implementation & system management. Be
accountable for completing and managing the tactical processes and
initiatives required to support and develop the futures electronic
trading business. You will build and manage strong relationships
with all business partners to help them succeed with our solutions
as well as effectively represent their requirements in further
evolving.Technical responsibilities will include managing the
integration with Middle-Office and Back-Office from electronic
futures execution. You will provide recommendations on the
improvement of the platform, cost management, resources, and IT
escalation and manage the daily monitoring and testing of the
trading platforms. In addition, you will manage the interaction
with our external vendors (such as TT, CQG, Fidessa, Bloomberg and
various OMS/EMS providers) and manage internal relationships with
IT, compliance, operations as it relates to electronic trading
platforms and connectivity. Developing and maintaining electronic
futures execution relationships is key.You will research, analyze,
and explore different options and recommend solutions and designs
that meet business requirements. In addition, you will manage
larger production deployment projects and coordinate associated
activities with our infrastructure partners.Required Knowledge,
Skills, and AbilitiesA trading or execution background and
knowledge of markets and instrumentsAt least 3 years of experience
in (an execution and risk management role) a trade support roleAn
understanding of risk associated with timely order flow and
exchange requirementsAn understanding of the futures and options
marketA strong understanding and adherence to risk controlsStrong
communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and
external clientsA bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or
similar programPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAn
understanding of the technology that provides connectivity to
global futures markets (TT, CQG, Fidessa, Bloomberg)An
understanding of risks associated with various types of execution
methods (Block, Cross, EFP)An understanding of futures exchanges,
both local to the US (CME, ICE) and global (SGX, LME, Eurex
