Job Description:

This is an onsite, long-term temporary role (with potential for permanent hire) located in Downtown Chicago. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm Pay Rate: $20-22/hr DOE Our client, an innovative construction management firm, is looking for an Accounting Associate to join their team! Accounting Associate Responsibilities: Maintains accounting records Work with the bookkeeping staff on accurate and timely processing of accounts payable including the proper coding of accounts, and jobs. Key involvement in the pay application process and follow-up reporting. Key involvement in the monthly closing of the books and review of key account activity and production of critical closing schedules. Inform management and compile reports as needed. Performs other duties as assigned, including cost reviews, maintaining construction files, etc. Accounting Associate Qualifications: 2-4 years of accounting experience required; construction/real estate experience is a plus Advanced Excel skills Strong interpersonal, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent accounting skills and understanding of GAAP Demonstrated record of success in complex situations Highly organized forward thinker with the ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously, anticipate and solve problems, set priorities, and meet deadlines/financial goals This is an onsite, long-term temporary role (with potential for permanent hire) located in Downtown Chicago.
