Cresset Partners is actively seeking an Associate, Investor Relations to join the Business Development & Investor Relations Team at Cresset Partners. The candidate will share responsibility for maintaining relationships with investors, supporting capital raising activities for Cresset Partners while helping to manage the Firm's growth initiatives. The Associate, Investor Relations Investor will be a point of contact for investors, Cresset Asset Management Financial Advisors, and prospective investors for investment related inquiries and investment support. The Associate, Investor Relations will also work collaboratively across departments on a variety of marketing, operations and technology initiatives that help the business to scale by allowing the team function more effectively and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience working with alternative investments, particularly in a service-oriented role. The candidate will be results-oriented and process-driven, capable of working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial culture, with a keen attention to detail. The candidate should have very strong writing and communication skills, with the ability and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively cross-functionally as well as with seasoned investors.
The team is in Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami. A candidate in Chicago or Miami is preferred although there is some flexibility for the right candidate if located in a major metropolitan market on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:


  • Provide timely and accurate responses related to business and investment questions to existing investors, Cresset Asset Management Financial Advisors and prospective investors
  • Collaborate with the investment teams to create monthly investment related "talking points" to support the sales team in fundraising efforts
  • Help maintain Salesforce, the firm's CRM, and other data platforms, to ensure comprehensive and accurate records for all client and prospects. Efficiently use the system to ensure it is a leverage point for the Firm's business intelligence efforts
  • Develop a broad and deep base of knowledge on both the investment and operational aspects of all Cresset Partners investments. Serve as an internal resource for members of the Business Development team, Advisor Team, and others team members interacting with clients
  • As new investment opportunities are launched, take part in the strategy development, content creation, communication approach for successful launch
  • Work cross-functionally to obtain and synthesize information from the deal teams and finance team to prepare communication materials
  • Draft and review written correspondence to investors including mass communications
  • Occasionally prepare firm and strategy DDQs and RFPs
  • Lead and/or participate in special projects as necessary

    QualificationsQualifications:

    • Undergraduate or graduate degrees in finance, business, economics, or relevant fields
    • 2-5 years of experience in private alternative investments, ideally at a large asset management firm with an established training program
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook; experience with Salesforce a plus
    • Experience writing DDQs and or RFPs or marketing collateral
    • Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and enhance the business in keeping with Cresset's values and culture
