And, more than anything, it's about bringing people together.If you're ready to be a part of our team, we encourage you to apply.Job DescriptionBrookfield Properties has an immediate need for a Senior Director, Program Management - Accounting & Finance at the corporate office in Chicago, IL.We are seeking an experienced IT Program leader to join our team at Brookfield Properties. This leadership role will be accountable for the IT strategy and services in support of our Accounting & Finance business teams. This role requires strong strategic and business acumen combined with technical leadership for the planning, delivery, and support of a catalog of software solutions.   • Guides and develops the strategic direction of Accounting & Finance technology solutions. - Is the primary liaison to the these stakeholders and recommends technology that aligns with their business plans. -Looks to leverage existing platforms first to pull maximum value out of existing investments.
  • Balances the interests of multiple stakeholders, takes a proactive approach to shape and influence stakeholder expectations. -Acts with a sense of urgency, putting customer interests first.
  • Has the Financial acumen to understand how Brookfield generates, preserves, accounts for, spends, manages, and moves money and applies knowledge to current initiatives and strategic roadmap planning.
  • Builds effective teams with a diverse mix of styles, perspectives, and experiences promoting maximum collaboration and high morale. Oversee product teams through both direct and matrix reporting.
  • Is accountable for the total cost of ownership and the overall health of the technology products and services supporting the associated stakeholders. - Seeks to consistently modernize and elevate end user experiences, increase productivity, and achieve new insights.
  • Is a champion and evangelist for Automation opportunities and the Citizen Developer program.
  • Partners with technical experts from Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber, and Infrastructure to ensure architectural integrity for solutions, secure SDLC and appropriate resource allocation for timely delivery of program commitments.
  • Prepares, monitors, and controls the annual operating budgets for Accounting & Finance software solutions. -Works with IT partners to generate capital estimates for large projects and system enhancements.
  • Maintain on-going assessment of latest trends, vendors, and new technology products in the Accounting & Finance domain and apply these learnings to future state program needs.
  • Responsible for key vendor relationships and contract negotiations associated with the program. Conduct recurring vendor reviews that provide regular feedback seeking improved performance and maximum value.Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related discipline.
    • Experience implementing and supporting Accounting & Finance technology.
    • Background in Commercial Real Estate a bonus. -
    • 10+ years of significant project management expertise leading multiple, simultaneous initiatives and teams.
    • 3+ years working experience in an agile environment.
    • Experience with industry leading enterprise tools such as JDEdwards, Kyriba, OneSteam, PMWeb.
    • Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills with ability to balance expectations of multiple, diverse, stakeholders.
    • Strong people manager with a track record of successfully building high performing teams and growing individuals.
    • Appetite to learn and explore new emerging technologies and processes.
    • Enthusiastic approach to problem identification and solving.What you will receive by taking this position:
