Relationship Manager (CAB RM)Brown Brothers Harriman is currently
recruiting a Corporate Advisory & Banking Relationship Manager (CAB
RM) to join our Private Banking Team. In this role you will be
responsible for building the Firm's business with privately owned
businesses and their owners as a primary contact, or in a
supporting role for larger relationships. The CAB RM represents all
aspects of the Private Banking LOB in interactions with clients,
prospects, industry contacts and intermediaries. By working with
business owners, their employees and other advisors, the Firm
develops, maintains and grows multi-generational relationships with
successful families. The CAB RM builds a solid internal and
external network to support business development. In the majority
of instances the CAB RM is the fulcrum of the relationship with
corporate clients, working closely with colleagues in other areas
of PB, including CAG Officers, in the development of
relationships.The CAB RM approaches each client and prospect as a
corporate finance generalist bringing knowledge of capital markets,
capital structure, merger and acquisitions, industry insights, and
commercial lending to the dialogue, taking a long term, strategic
perspective. The CAB RM will be familiar with the Firm's investment
platform and the factors that differentiate BBH's philosophy and
offerings.The CAB RM is also the lending product expert within the
PB LOB. S/he is responsible for following the credit quality of
relationships where the firm has put its capital at risk, working
with PB Credit and the CAB Associates to ensure proper
documentation and follow-up.Some of your key responsibilities
include:Business Development:* Establish and deepen relationships
with owners and financial staff of privately held businesses using
a corporate finance advisory perspective.* Market the BBH PB value
proposition and entire suite of BBH services, including lending,
private wealth management, and private equity.* Evaluate new
strategic credit opportunities.* Convert prospect relationships to
clients of PB.* Build a broad network of intermediaries, industry
contacts and influencers.Relationship Management:* Deepen
relationships with existing clients such that BBH becomes a trusted
advisor to the owners using a corporate finance mindset.* Alongside
CAB Associates and junior CAB RMs, manage day-to-day banking
operations for clients, handling questions, problem solving and
ensuring the highest level of responsiveness.* Develop
relationships with existing clients' financial staff, and provide
support for other CAB RMs in enhancing the overall relationship.*
Grow revenue from all PB sources for existing clients.* Convert
lending and advisory relationships to wealth management
relationships.Credit & Risk Management:* Ensure the highest
standard of credit administration by working with CAB Analysts to
provide thorough credit analysis,* Work with CAB Associates to
ensure thorough and timely credit agendas are prepared, proper
documentation is maintained and required financial information is
received.Qualifications:* BA/BS with GPA above 3.0.MBA or CFA
preferred, but not required* 7 - 15 years' financial services
experience, preferably in corporate lending, corporate finance or
mergers and acquisitions* Broad and deep corporate finance and
credit knowledge/training* Knowledge of financial markets*
Interpersonal maturity, confidence, and poise* Strong
