Job Description:

• We are seeking an Accounting & Reporting Accountant who will be responsible for executing the day-to-day activities of the private assets team according to the controls in place.
• This includes preparing journal entries, basic reconciliations, analysis, and schedules to support these assets.
• The Accountant is expected to manage their assignments based on prioritization and raise issues as appropriate, execute processes and procedures per the team's documentation, and identify when practice deviates from the documented process.
• The top three skills are strong accounting skills, strong technical skills (Excel, Access, or similar database), and being a quick learner.
• The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR Senior Accountant:
  • Participates in the preparation of information, analysis and basic reporting schedules that support the external filings and internal reporting of the team. Examples may include trending and comparison to prior periods, comparison to expectations and analysis of activity. Work with team supervisor and/or manager to identify/investigate unusual trends.
  • Gather and review audited financial statements and document specific information; troubleshoot issues as they arise, if any.
  • Prepare equity method of accounting (EMA) workpapers; troubleshoot out of balances and perform corrective action, if any.
  • Own and be accountable for execution of responsibilities; take on additional work as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively within the team and across the department. JOB EXPERIENCE FOR Senior Accountant:
    • 3 years of professional investment accounting/reporting experience; familiarity with audited financial statements.
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Access, and SAP skills. SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR Senior Accountant:
      • Good oral and written communication skills.
