Description & Requirements

The North America Controller is responsible for the account to report function for a $20 billion segment of KraftHeinz. The team consists of approximately 65 colleagues in Chicago and Toronto as well as an extended team in our shared service center in India. Cross functional partnerships are critical to success in this role with significant exposure to FP&A, treasury, tax, procurement and operations. The role requires a mix of technical and operational accounting skills as well as the ability to navigate a complex IT footprint. Business partnership and the ability to provide insights to our business partners will define an exceptional candidate for this role. While our SEC and external reporting do not report to this role, the North America Controller plays a significant part in our quarterly reporting cycle and participates in earnings discussions with business leadership and investor relations. A well rounded, experienced accounting professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to meaningfully participate in and influence cross-functional decision making is the ideal candidate for this role.

Key Responsibilities include:

--- Full ownership of the financial close of the North America segment for KraftHeinz;

--- Execution of all internal controls in accordance with SOX;

--- Completion of all integration and separation activities related to M&A activities;

--- Support internal and external reporting requirements for various projects;

--- Coordination with treasury and tax regarding compliance and other non-compliance related projects;x

--- Involvement in quarterly reporting responsibilities including analysis of results;

--- Support for the global finance team and other business partners with ad hoc analyses; and

--- Significant contract review and decision making support.


--- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required, Master's in Business Administration or Accounting preferred;

--- CPA or equivalent certification required;

--- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements;

--- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Finance/Accounting;

--- Strong business acumen, and interpersonal communication skills;

--- Ability to interact and contribute cross-functionally with other functional team members;

--- Motivated self-starter who can effectively work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities;

--- Possesses the ability to lead teams and effectively work through delegation while developing and coaching a large team; and

--- Exhibits strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
