All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm; rotating call, weekends, and Holidays. /n /n/n /n Shift: Days /n /n/n /n Location: 120 N OAK ST, Hinsdale, 60521 /n /n/n /n The role you'll contribute: /n /n/n /n Responsible for performing CT imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results. This role performs clerical duties and provides basic patient care within the scope of practice and departmental standards. In addition, this position adheres to compliance plans and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies. /n /n/n /n The value you'll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. /n /n - Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time. /n /n - Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. /n /n - Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents. /n /n - Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. /n /n - Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. /n /n - Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications. /n /n - Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. /n /n - Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary, while ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained. /n /n - Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care. /n /n - Other duties as assigned. /n /n/n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n/n /n - High School Grad or Equiv Required /n /n - Associate Preferred /n /n - Bachelor's Preferred /n /n - One or more years Work Experience Preferred /n /n - Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds /n /n - Knowledge of CT procedures /n /n - Knowledge of CT scanners /n /n - Ability to learn and grow with new technology /n /n - Customer Service skills /n /n - CT Safety including radiation protection /n /n - General computer skills and PACS /n /n - Basic IV competency /n /n - General physics and anatomy /n /n - As required, performs waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing, ensuring approved competency and documented proof at the time of training. /n /n - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required /n /n - Registered Computed Tomography Technician (RTCTARRT) Required /n /n - Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required /n /n - Certified Radiologic Tech (CR-TECH) Preferred /n /n - Medical Radiation Technology - IEMA (MRT-IEMA) Preferred /n /n - KY Med Imagin/Rad (KBMIRT) Preferred /n /n - Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) Preferred /n /n - Lic Radiology Technologist (LRT-TECH) Preferred /n /n/n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
