Business Analyst (Level II) Pay Rate: $40.36/hour, paid weekly
Location: 540 W Madison St., Chicago, IL Schedule: Hybrid Minimum
of 3 days onsite (mandatory) Start Date: ASAP Expected Contract
Duration: 6 months (with potential extension) Job Description The
Business Analyst (Level II) will serve as a key escalation point
for the F&O Margin team and act as a primary liaison for
internal and external stakeholders. This role supports the firms
collateralization activities, ensuring daily monitoring, execution,
and compliance related to margin documentation and trading
counterparties. The analyst will also contribute to strategic
planning, new product onboarding, risk oversight, and industry
initiatives, while supporting staff development within the team.
Core responsibilities include managing collateral processes,
resolving margin discrepancies, collaborating with Credit/Risk
Management, and facilitating timely client inquiry resolutions. The
ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, in-depth
knowledge of ETD/F&O markets, and a proven ability to perform
under deadlines while upholding rigorous internal controls.
Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact and
escalation for the F&O Margin team, managing stakeholder
communication and addressing client trade, settlement, and
margin-related inquiries. Oversee daily collateralization
activities, including monitoring margin requirements, executing
collateral substitutions, and managing collateral bookings/releases
(Pledged & Lodged). Ensure timely coverage of all client margin
calls, resolve discrepancies, and escalate margin fails to
Credit/Risk Management and Operations Management as needed. Support
strategic initiatives by onboarding new products, contributing to
planning efforts, executing FX transaction requests, and
participating in industry initiatives and process improvements.
Uphold strong risk and control practices by assisting with audits,
ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory
requirements, supporting staff development, and maintaining
knowledge of bank controls and procedures. Required Skills Strong
understanding of financial markets, particularly ETD/F&O, with
the ability to apply knowledge to daily operations and strategic
initiatives. Confidently engages senior stakeholders across Sales,
Trading, Product Control, Credit, and Legal, maintaining
professional and effective communication. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment
to delivering high-quality output. Proven analytical and
problem-solving abilities, with strong organizational skills and
the capacity to prioritize responsibilities under strict deadlines.
Experience implementing and maintaining business controls, ensuring
compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Essential Requirements / Experience Experience in the Financial
Services or Banking industry. Minimum 2 years of professional
team-based experience. Desired Skills Bachelors degree in Finance
or related field. Experience in Finance, Risk Management, or
Treasury. Familiarity with listed FFO and OTC Derivatives lifecycle
