Job Description:

The Receptionist manages the front desk on a daily basis and performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Welcomes visitors by greeting them either in person or on the telephone and transferring them to the appropriate department. Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.

Essential Functions
Greets and welcomes customers and potential customers and directs them to the appropriate bank staff.
Listen effectively to customers' requests and promptly takes the necessary action to assist them.
Notifies appropriate staff when a visitor with an appointment arrives.
Oversees and maintains waiting area, keeping it stocked with brochures, deposit slips and withdrawal forms.
Answers customer questions and provides general information on banking services and policies.
Performs clerical and administrative services to branch staff as needed.
Escalates issues immediately and takes necessary steps to prevent and/or minimize loss to the bank.
Answers incoming phone calls, transfers calls, and takes massages when necessary. Balances speed and accuracy when transferring customer calls throughout the bank.
Processes and distributes incoming mail.
Takes the initiative to follow-up, escalate or seek additional resources to ensure customer satisfaction in a timely manner.
Protects the Bank and its customers by maintaining a high level of security awareness.
Follows all department policies and procedures to meet Bank, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Is able to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems and communicate issues to management and the IS department.
Accepts coaching, implements feedback from reviews to improve job performance.
Supervisory Responsibility

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, drive use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with one day off during the week TBD. Must be able to work the occasional Saturday.
Required Education and Experience
2-3 years of customer service experience
1 year of clerical and data entry experience
1-2 years receptionist experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to promote a positive image of the bank
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Ability to maintain professionalism and tact in stressful situations
Models positive and supportive behavior
Flexible work schedule
