Education - Bachelor's Degree Skills - Writing Skills - Hootsuite - Customer Service Overview: We're looking for a talented social media and content specialist to create engaging content for our audiences and manage social media communities that attract and encourage conversation about our institutions. The ideal candidate has great interview and writing skills and a strong background in using social media in a professional capacity. The position will oversee day-to-day community engagement on our social media channels, as well as other sites on the web where conversations are happening relative to our brands and topics of interest. This role will also have responsibility for creating content, which may include blog posts, social media posts, videos, infographics or ebooks. Responsibilities: Engage in conversation as the official voice of our institutions in social media. Contribute to videos, blog posts, graphics and web content. Develop social posts for editorial calendar in coordination with the marketing and editorial teams. Provide social media support for events and conferences. Manage social media influencer program. Create weekly and monthly reports to provide social and content insights to the broader marketing and management teams. Use social analytics and insights to inform editorial opportunities. Monitor conversations about our brands using Hootsuite and respond where appropriate. Route issues to the appropriate teams and ensure resolution. Identify opportunities to leverage social media in new ways and continue to grow engagement with our online communities. Manage paid fan acquisition and content promotion campaigns for social media channels. Support the work of the Social Media Center of Excellence at Adtalem. Other projects and duties as opportunities arise. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 2-4 years journalism, marketing, digital or social media experience Availability to monitor social media channels daily, including evenings and weekends The qualities that will make you successful in this role include: Strong writing skills with experience creating highly engaging blog and social media posts Passion for creating and consuming new content types including graphics, blog posts and videos, and distributing these assets to our social community A self-starter with the willingness, and desire, to 'roll up your sleeves' and get the job done Experience using social media monitoring tools, such as Hootsuite Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to work cross-functionally and in teams Preference for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Commitment to providing a high level of customer service Experience analyzing and summarizing data to identify trends and make recommendations Experience creating and managing paid social advertising campaigns Overwhelming passion for today's social networking technologies
