The Power Marketing & Commercial Strategy Analyst will work as a supporting key member of the Power Marketing team within the Utility-Scale Renewable Development business in the US. This role will support commercial offtake and project marketing efforts to customers for the ENGIE's project portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage projects. In this role, you will support in assessing and contributing to the project acquisition efforts & market strategy of the Commercial Strategy team. This role will support identifying and analyzing business opportunities and RFPs, actively participating in go/no-go decisions, and leading and coordinating ENGIE's response strategy to RFP requests.
This role can sit in multiple locations across the U.S. and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do:

  • Manage RFP proposal process in response to a high volume of simultaneous RFPs to commercial and/or utility customers as well as working cross-functionally with development and financial teams in support of the bids & strategy
  • Manage and continually update ENGIE CRM for opportunities
  • Generate reports for organization reviews and strategy sessions
  • Oversee and communicate organization pipeline to internal decision-makers
  • Liaise with finance team on project economics and financial modeling
  • Support the Commercial Strategy team on evaluating project acquisition targets & market strategy development
  • Creation and maintenance of ENGIE proposals and external marketing materials provided to customers
  • Develop and maintain, with other groups, commercial and competitive intelligence.
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in North America and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as an attendee, speaker, panelist
    What you bring:
    • Bachelor's degree is preferred with a preference for a degree in finance, economics, mathematics, science, engineering, or a similar technical or analytics based program
    • A combination of experience, education, and military service would be considered in lieu of a four-year degree
    • A minimum of two (2) years is required and a background in the energy market industry as an analyst or associate at a developer, utility, bank, investor, or similar market participant preferred
    • Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based, financial models
    • Commercial acumen in addition to deep analytic and/or technical capabilities
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
    • Ability to operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
    • Superb technical writing capabilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
    • Consistent and reliable attendance with the ability to manage time efficiently and a self-starter
    • Desiree to be a team player with the willingness to help others
    • Capability to collaborate across departments within the company and with external customers
