Internal Marketing Communications, Lead Communications- Deloitte Consulting

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and passionate internal communications senior consultant to join our Consulting Internal Communications team to lead/support Marketing Communications.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to Strategic Marketing Planners (SMPs) and other business leaders, SMEs, and stakeholders around elevating awareness of Deloitte Consulting's offerings and services throughout the networks
  • Participate in planning sessions for marketing campaigns to inform internal comms approach and advise SMPs accordingly
  • Liaise with SMPs to identify target internal Deloitte audiences, key messages, calls to action and align on content to be shared with practitioners
  • Develop communications cascade materials including newsletter copy, leader emails/messages, talking points for practice meetings, copy for intranet pages, etc.
  • Manage the scheduling and publishing of DeloitteNet Today intranet stories, including liaising with the DeloitteNet editorial team, developing and finalizing story drafts, collaborating with marketers on internal reviews/approvals, submitting tickets to build pages and updating the DeloitteNet scheduler with all final copy and creative assets for publishing; gather metrics and report results
  • Lead the development and distribution of email communications including newsletters and business leader messages, etc.
  • Manage email communication distribution lists, including adding and removing practitioners from lists as needed
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Services team members to inform strategy, direction, create, and update intranet pages (KX, DNet, Deloitte Resources) supporting marketing campaigns
  • Identify the right internal Deloitte channels to cascade marketing messages, which also includes maintaining and updating database of firm communications channels
  • Conduct outreach to Green Dot, Consulting, and Strategic Growth Offering channel owners (including communications teams, business leaders, chiefs of staff) to request content promotion
  • Provide internal marketing communications strategy and deliver via calls and plans that can be integrated into marketing plans
  • Field ad hoc emails/requests from SMPs and other business leaders/SMEs; review requests/content and provide strategy/recommendations as relevant to business and comms priorities
  • Collaborate with US Consulting Network Communications team on internal marketing communications to identify the best channels to share marketing messages
  • Manage tracking and reporting of internal communications placements, using metrics tracking tools such as Bananatag/Staffbase
  • Coordinate closely with Deloitte Strategic Growth Offering communications leads on internal marketing comms strategy and execution of comms cascades

    Qualifications include:
    • Communications professional with a minimum of 7+ years relevant experience
    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, and / or Business, is required
    • Proven success in developing and executing internal communications strategies / plans for a large business, preferably in professional services
    • Solid organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects / priorities
    • Strong executive presence and comfort working with and advising senior management
    • Analytical mindset, with ability to interpret data into meaningful insights and strategies
    • Detail-oriented with fantastic follow-through skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills-including effective storytelling and presentation skills
        • Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a cross-functional, virtual team; experience in large corporate settings and / or professional services a plus
        • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high level of comfort with ambiguity
        • Proficient in MS Office suite-including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Drive; knowledge of the latest internal communications measurement platforms a plus
        • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
        • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
