Job DescriptionThe Head of Brand Marketing will play a critical
role in accelerating growth for a $1B business in the US. This key
position has ownership of the strategic development of the
portfolio of 4 iconic and contemporary brands for Wells. Leads the
brand team in the development of strategies and plans, both short
and long-term, and ensures their execution to achieve Wells' annual
and 3-5 year strategic objectives. The Head of Marketing will
report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will serve as key
thought leader guiding strategy, business leadership, investment
plan and overall brand stewardship. This person will partner with
Channel leaders, VP Transformation and VP Sales & Marketing
Operations to ensure that we have consistent branding and marketing
execution across the business.Leads development of long-term brand
strategy (3-5 yr.), positioning, and brand architecture for
multiple Wells brands across all channels and ensures they are
executed across the business.Leads the annual brand planning
process in concert with the corporate and sales planning calendars.
Ensures plans are well developed and prepared on-time for
successful annual customer sell-in.Supervises creative strategies
to deliver deep consumer experiences that are authentic, meaningful
and relevant to the brand purpose.Oversees the development of
integrated marketing communications programs. Leads the brand
communications strategy across all marketing activities including
touchpoints that are customized by brand lifecycle. Manages agency
partners and vendors.Partners with the Innovation and Market
Research teams to drive strategic planning and development of 2-5
year brand innovation platforms required to exponentially grow the
business.Ensures effective integration of brand plans/activities
with other functional areas, including insights, media, shopper,
ecommerce and category management - resource allocation and
financial planning for assigned brands.Supports Wells Leadership
and 3rd party consultants in evaluating new business opportunities
and developing strategy to lead the organization in future growth
streams.Partners proactively with sales leaders to ensure
commercialization plans account for Voice of
Consumer/Customer/Channel. Focus on incorporating cross-functional
leadership feedback in pricing/promotional strategies,
channel-specific requirements, marketing programs and KPIs to
optimize volume, share and profit.Chairs the monthly brand review
process with strong consumption analytics, competitive assessment,
data analysis and P&L metrics to enable commercial brand
management in a timely manner.Owns P&L responsibility for Wells
brands. Identifies, recommends and leads initiatives both
independently and through brand teams to drive both top and
bottom-line growth and improvement. Determines brand budgets and
allocates resources within corporate guidelines and plans to
achieve brand objectives. Manages the marketing budget with an
owner mindset, prioritizes spending across brands and drives
marketing spend efficiency.Supports on-going development of
consumer insights, in collaboration with Market Research,
Innovation, Strategy and Leadership team. Identifies and
prioritizes best use of resources to support required brand growth
founded on critical consumer insight.Leads and develops the Brand
Management team. Builds strong, effective high performance teams.
Improves the performance of team members through coaching/feedback.
Strengthens the quality of talent through assessment, selection of
placing the right people in the right position. Attracts, leads,
manages, and mentors employees to ensure retention, development,
and superior performance of talent. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
(BA/BS) in Business or related field required. MBA or Master's
Degree in relevant field, preferred.EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 15 years
of consumer brand management/innovation experience, CPG experience
required and food experience preferred, demonstrated in-market
success in building purposeful brands, creating meaningful
campaigns and disruptive new products that drive sustainable
profitable growth new products that drive profitable top line

employees, particularly to enhance brand management knowledge.

Reports to Chief Commercial Officer. Direct Reports - 5-6. Indirect
