Job Description:
Full job description We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Diesel Mechanic / Service Technician to join our team in
Bridgeview! COMPETITIVE PAY! BASED ON EXPERIENCE. The ideal
candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working
with heavy-duty trucks and possess expertise in diesel engines, air
brakes, clutches, drive lines, wheel bearings, brakes, batteries,
and cooling systems. A CDL driving license is preferred. Key
Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair heavy-duty truck systems,
including diesel engines, air brakes, clutches, drive lines, wheel
bearings, and braking systems. Perform routine maintenance and
service on heavy-duty trucks, ensuring all components are in
optimal working condition. Conduct testing and replacements of
batteries, charging systems, and cooling systems. Inspect and test
air brake systems, including valve knowledge and troubleshooting.
Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Comply with safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe
working environment. Operate trucks to diagnose and test repairs if
holding a CDL driving license. Qualifications: Minimum two years of
experience working with heavy-duty trucks. CDL driving license is
preferred but not mandatory. Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and
troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part
of a team. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills. Physical ability to perform manual
