What you will doThe College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences
at National Louis University in Illinois is pleased to announce its
search for a Counseling Educator with expertise in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling or School Counseling to join our
CACREP-accredited Master of Science in Counseling Program. The
program offers advanced graduate training in the fields of Clinical
Mental Health, School Counseling and Addictions. School counselors
and individuals with a certification in addictions are encouraged
to apply.
Responsibilities for this position include teaching, scholarship,
and service. Teaching expectations will cover a variety of areas
within our School Counseling track and foundation courses in
Clinical Mental Health Counseling track as needed, including
courses in counseling theory and techniques; assessment and
diagnosis, and internship/practicum/supervision. Faculty also
engage in supervision of practicum and internship field placement
experiences, advising and mentorship, and serving on university
committees. The successful candidates will exemplify skill in
working competently with students and faculty representing a broad
range of cultures and identities. Applicants must be Licensed
Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC - Illinois) or Licensed
Professional Educators with PEL-School Counseling Endorsement or
eligible to obtain the LCPC or PEL within 12 months of hire.
