Job Description:

Rush University Medical Center seeks an Assistant Professor/Vascular Surgeon in Chicago, IL to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and routine medical and surgical care. Diagnose, treat, and prevent vascular diseases and injuries and collect, record, and maintain patient information. Conduct academic, translational, and clinical research. Integrate evidence-based knowledge and clinical expertise to work with patients and families on decisions about procedures and treatment options. Provide relevant and comprehensive education to patients, advise medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals, and provide education and mentoring to students of all healthcare professions within vascular surgery. Improve the capacities and resources of the section through participation in journal clubs, workshops, and seminars. May travel to other hospitals in the Chicago area. Minimum Requirements: Position minimally requires Medical Degree (M.D.) or its foreign degree equivalent. Must have completed an accredited residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery. Must be in possession of a valid State of Illinois medical license.
