Job Description Summary

Full-Time, Non-Tenure Track Professor of Practice teaching position in Accountancy in the College of Business.





Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, and respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in any or all of the accounting disciplines, including but not limited to financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, accounting information systems, accounting data analytics. -Twenty four (24) Credit hour teaching load per contract year. -Establish and maintain office hours to assist students and foster positive interaction with colleagues and external parties. -Advise students. Support the student accounting club, promoting extracurricular activities that enhance students' accounting knowledge and career prospects.
-Represent the college at departmental meetings, University meetings, and business related conferences.
-Actively participate in College/University Committees, accounting curriculum development, scholarly pursuits, student recruitment, and other various duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.
-Demonstrated the ability to promote the Accounting Program within the College, University, and Community. -Engage in continuous professional development, which includes participation in workshops, conferences, and technology-focused training programs.




Minimum Qualifications
-Earned doctorate in Accounting, or Management/Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution. Strong candidates who are ABD and nearing completion of their dissertation will be considered. Master's in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting will also be considered if the candidate has earned CPA licensure. -Experience teaching Accounting courses at the university level. - Must have professional experience in the field.
