Are you one of us?The Role:We rely on our dynamic team to solve the many challenges and puzzles that come with our rapidly evolving technical stack. We're seeking a full stack engineer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that's always pushing boundaries. Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of projects across the entire stack. Our ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back end languages. You'll be joining a small team working at the forefront of new technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front end and back end architecture, and ultimately, delivering amazing global user experiences.Responsibilities:

  • Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
  • Develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
  • Assume leadership of new projects from conceptualization to deployment
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
  • Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities
  • Front-end/Web Applications
  • JavaScript and CSS development for our web applications (ReactJS). You will work primarily on the Web Interfaces for these applications, which are used by customers to manage their residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Back-end/Platform Services
  • Large-scale distributed services for applications and data management. We use a mix of NodeJS and Python. You will work primarily on the back-end services that power our web and mobile applications. These cloud based services are built on AWS infrastructure and are designed for 7x24 operation, with manageability, availability, reliability and scalability in mind.
  • Mobile
  • Phone and Tablet application development for both the iOS and Android platforms. The applications complement our Web Applications by providing unique mobile device specific capabilities and core functionality to improve company operations.Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering
    • 2-3+ years of experience building large-scale software applications
    • AWS Developer or AWS Solutions Architect Certification (preferred)
    • Experience building secure web applications
    • Experience designing and integrating RESTful, GraphQL APIs
    • Knowledge of Node, React, and Javascript
    • Excellent debugging and optimization skillsAdditional Qualifications:
      • Unit/integration testing experience
      • Exceptional communication skills
      • Intellectual drive to learn anything
      • Familiarity with command-line tools on a Unix shell
      • A desire to work on hard problems
