Service Engineer (Construction Wheeled Products)We are in need of a heavy equipment technician who has been in the field and wants to get out of the field or travel much more minimally.$65,000 - $90,000 plus bonus2 days on site, 3 days work from home. (in office for first 12 weeks and then go hybrid)10-25%, someone with field experience, diesel experience is preferred, heavy equipment experience also preferred.Explain amount of diagnostic experience and troubleshooting experience.Understanding hydraulic systems experience is important and how it all works together.CAN experience or exposure is ideal.We use a TSR System connected to distributor network, 296 in the network. Candidate reviews the issues that are submitted, troubleshoot it, and provide a resolution to that issue. Most of this is done through the computer, but it is easier to have someone call to discuss the issue when needed also.Job OverviewThis position's main responsibility is to support warranty and quality functions within the Service Department.Must effectively use analytical skills in structuring and consolidating reports to identify gaps between systems and processes.The role will also have to compile data and develop indicators to measure performance of Distributors and Vendors.It will also be responsible for updating machine locations and distributor warranty data on a monthly basis.Key Job ResponsibilitiesManage Machine transfers process and transactions. Follow up on requests and conduct necessary research when executing transfers. Understand process and communicate with Distributors on a regular basis.Support various warranty and quality functions such as Part Recalls and Distributor Development ProgramsEnsure data entered into the company's internal IT systems is accurate and complete. Ability to perform gap analysis to identify system discrepancies. Develop action plans to correct and interface with multiple groups to complete activity.Monitor and support vendor recovery process. Measure vendor performance using warranty claim metrics. Identify performance gaps, determine causal factors, and develop and implement effective solutions that extract value for the company.Qualifications/RequirementsEducation and Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred or 5 years of applicable working experience.Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills working across multiple systems, management levels and functions.Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, claims and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge of electronic data management.Ability to effectively present information and respond questions from internal personnel and DistributorsExperience using reporting systems such as Business Objects. SAP skills will be helpful.Well - developed knowledge and capability to efficiently operate database systems such as MS Excel. Working knowledge and capability to efficiently use other common MS Office products.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong time management skillsTravel: Less than 10% - Domestic to Plants or Distributors.Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (life, carry, move) light to medium weights of 1-10 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.Additional InformationThis position will also be responsible for warranty claim adjudication. Will consider an Asst. Service Engineer level candidate with applicable skills and experience.
