We are seeking a talented, energetic professional with strong experience in AD and PowerShell. This role is direct hire, perm and is hybrid on-site 3 days a week out of Chicago or New York.Summary:This exciting role within the growing systems engineering group will provide you with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the firm's Windows environment, strategy, and architecture design. You will have the chance to work with some of the smartest and most driven individuals in the industry. We are seeking a talented, energetic self-starter for a Systems Engineer position.Key Tasks:

  • Senior Windows Engineer will provide expert level support for highly virtualized Windows and Linux environment focused on scale, availability, and security
  • Assist in the architecture and administration of Active Directory, Exchange and connected infrastructures
  • Deploy automation technologies and processes to support on-premise and cloud based infrastructures
  • Improve and automate existing repetitive, manual processes and procedures driving support efficiencies
  • As a Senior Windows Engineer, you will collaborate with business leads, engineering, and development staff in order to gather requirements that will help drive innovation and efficiencies within infrastructure operations
  • Monitor and take corrective action with system performance and availability Requirements
    • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field/technical experience
    • Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience supporting Windows and Linux server environments leveraging DevOps tools and concepts in order to provide exceptional service delivery across the enterprise
    • Expert administration skills in MS Windows server platform technologies (AD/DNS/DHCP/GPO/DFS)
    • Advanced knowledge in automating Windows platforms leveraging PowerShell
    • Strong knowledge of automation and configuration management systems (SCCM, Puppet, Docker, Terraform, Serverless)
    • Strong knowledge of supporting MS Exchange infrastructure and associated archiving/security gateway products
    • Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), security and optimization
    • Strong knowledge of Azure and Office 365
    • Strong knowledge of MDM solutions, Mobile Iron, Intune, AirWatch, etc.
    • The optimal candidate will be process driven and have a diverse technology background with a desire to learn and become the best
    • The candidate must be an exceptional problem solver and a very strong communicator with the ability to multitask
    • A basic understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycles is a plusCore Technical Abilities:
      • Core MS Stack: AD, GPO, DFS, and Exchange
      • Public Cloud: Azure and Office 365
      • Scripting: PowerShell is essential
      • Configuration Management: SCCM or PuppetTo be considered a good cultural fit, you must be:

          • Public Cloud: Azure and AWS knowledge
          • Experience with modern desktop

            The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
