Description:Founded in 1990, LGH stands at the forefront of the hoisting and rigging equipment rental industry, providing rental equipment responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of everything from the bridges you drive on to the sports stadiums you visit.We have an immediate need for a mechanically inclined individual to join our team where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our top-notch rental equipment, guaranteeing its immediate availability for safe utilization.In this position, you will have the opportunity to leverage your mechanical knowledge to:Prepare rental equipment orders and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with our quality standards.Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test various types of electrical, hand operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment.Operate forklift to load and unload delivery vehicles and transport equipment within the warehouse as part of daily operations.Drive company vehicles to transport rental orders in a safe and timely manner.Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) Occasional overtime may be required.Location: Bridgeview, ILMinimum Starting Pay: $20.89/hour-- The position is a full-time, Union position, starting in our Paint/Chain department; employees receive an annual contractual increase each December.Benefits: Paid holidays, sick, and vacation time; full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short term disability, basic life insurance, plus additional optional voluntary benefits; vested 401(k) with 5% company match; continual, comprehensive, industry-leading training program.Requirements:Education/TrainingHigh School Diploma or EquivalentExperienceMechanical background or aptitude strongly desired;Prior warehouse/manufacturing or related work required;Experience working on air hoists, come alongs, manual hoists, and electric hoists desired;Prior forklift experience strongly preferred.Certifications/LicensesValid Driver's License with good driving record required.Employment is conditional upon the ability to meet insurance underwriting requirements.DOT certification required upon commencement of employment; certification must be maintained.Physical RequirementsMust be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs.Must be able to lift/carry up to 55 lbs.All employment offers are contingent upon the ability to pass the following:-- Background Check & Employment Verifications-- Hair Follicle Drug TestWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is legally authorized to work in the United States.
