Hardesty & Hanover, a leader in infrastructure engineering, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on the design and analysis of mechanical systems for bridges and civil structures. The successful candidate will utilize cutting-edge technology to solve complex engineering challenges and contribute to projects that improve infrastructure efficiency and safety. Design, analyze, and detail mechanical components and systems for infrastructure projects. Collaborate with project teams to develop designs that integrate seamlessly with other structural and electrical systems. Perform dynamic analysis of mechanical systems to ensure durability and efficacy. Prepare technical documentation, including detailed drawings and specifications, and provide support during construction phases. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to keep designs innovative and efficient. Conduct site visits and system testing to ensure real-world functionality and safety standards are met. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) Strong understanding of dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science Experience with FEA and other mechanical analysis tools Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and documentation skills 401k PE License (Preferred) Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) (Desirable)
