The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Marketing and
Development team is responsible for the development and execution
of the organization's global marketing and fundraising strategies.
Within that area of responsibility, the team is responsible for an
average annual Global revenue of $60 million. Revenue and in-kind
donations are secured through an array of tactics including: major
gift acquisition and stewardship; individual donor campaigns;
planned gift solicitation; foundation grants; corporate and
supplier partnerships; McDonald's facilitated fundraising
activities and cause related marketing campaigns.We are looking for
a dynamic Director will oversee--the--brand--compliance,
consistency, positioning and communication across the entire RMHC
Chapter system throughout 62 countries and regions. This person
will also build the brand strategy and guidelines while serving as
a brand consultant for the individual Chapters. In addition, the
team executes Global tactics that support and increase awareness
for the brand and the RMHC mission. Global tactics include:
planning, development and implementation across paid, owned and
earned media; digital and social media content and campaign
creation; public relations; crisis communication; print
advertising; content management across the rmhc.org website; and
corporate marketing activation. The team also manages the interface
between RMHC and the McDonald's Global/U.S. marketing and
communications relationships to ensure continuity and promote
co-brand building.The core purpose of this role is to lead the
development, execution and communication of comprehensive
integrated marketing and communications strategies that build
awareness, create engagement opportunities, drive donations and
cultivate an understanding of the RMHC Brand within the marketplace
and the general public.In this role, you will also:
- Conduct analyses and identify trends in marketing &
communications standard methodologies to determine the best means
to engage donors making recommendations to the Chief Marketing &
Development Officer and cross functional teams.
- Lead the development of holistic, integrated and strategic
marketing & communications plans-executing the appropriate tactics
that preserve, protect and enhance the Brand, promote fundraising
objectives, ensure alignment and help achieve results to benefit
the Global system.
- Develop change management plans to evolve the system to
future-state of digital infrastructure and engagement, as well as
to continue to evolve the brand.
- Contribute to cultivating a culture of continuous learning,
experimentation and ongoing evaluation and improvement.
- Work with McDonald's Global Marketing, US Marketing, and Global
Impact Teams to create a phased, proactive integrated marketing and
communication strategy in support of key revenue streams and
awareness-building initiatives as outlined by the RMHC Impact
Strategy, including tactical plans to move people from passive
appreciation to active support of the Charity's mission
- Scope, support and assign necessary resources to deliver
- Oversee the business analytics and evaluation of KPIs and
measurements related to all marketing and communications supported
- Provide leadership point-of-view, build strong relationships
and foster teamwork among local Chapters, RMHC colleagues, agencies
and donor partners.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as marketing,
communications, with experience in fundraising strategy.
- Relevant professional experience in integrated marketing,
communication and/or fundraising.
- Proven results in developing and implementing marketing and
communications strategic plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects
simultaneously while managing deadlines.
- Specialized experience-for example, working with an
affiliated/franchised organizational structure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Energy and passion for the RMHC mission.
