Regional Human Resources Director Requisition ID 2021-17596 City Chicago State IL Requisition Post Information* : External Company Name The Senior Lifestyle Company, LLC Position Type (Portal Searching) Regular Full-Time Overview The Regional Human Resources Director is responsible for providing support to multiple locations; directing and coordinating HR activities related to the consistent application and practice of company HR Policies, such as employment, compensation, benefits and related activities. Essential Functions
          • Partners with senior management in the communication and administration of SLC HR Policies and Procedures.
          • Provides consultation and support to management on various employee related issues.
          • Partners with senior management of the communities to ensure a productive and effective work environment is in place.
          • Coordinates employee forums to ensure the community provides an avenue for employees to communicate concerns, challenges and triumphs.
          • Responds to employment issues and formulates recommendations for corrective action/improvement based upon case analysis, company policy and governmental mandates.
          • Responsible for EEOC and other claim responses in collaboration with legal.
          • Oversight of community training program compliance.
          • Facilitation of Employee Survey Process.
          • Provides training & development on various HR related topics.
          • Ensures governmental compliance by coordinating & assembling data for required federal and state reporting.
          • Respond to federal and state requests for information regarding employees.
          • Designs and provides human resources management tools.
          • Work with Regional Directors of Operations, Executive Directors, Human Resource Managers and Business Operations Managers to ensure the correct maintenance of employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations and termination date and reason.
          • Provide advice on developing employee relations programs supportive of community goals and objectives.
          • Responsible to monitor E-Verify compliance at designated communities.
          • Assists with the acquisition of new communities.
          • Maintain confidentiality of all employee information in order to protect their rights.
          • Knowledgeable of all federal, state and local laws as they relate to employment and human resources.
          • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Level of Formal Education : Bachelor's Degree required Area of Study: Human Resources, Psychology or Business preferred Years of Experience: Minimum of five years Type of Experience: Multi-site Human Resources experience required Special Certifications: HRCI or SHRM certification preferred Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language Technical Competencies: Must be proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint Skills and Ability:
            • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
            • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees and outside contacts.
            • Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
            • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions through data analysis.
            • Ability to analyze and interpret data to formulate corrective action plans for cost reduction and utilization efficiency.
            • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
            • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, and at different locations if needed. Information Systems: ADP Vantage experience preferred Personal Attributes:
