and driving the enterprise wide Medicare Star rating strategyand
implementation through evaluating strategies, external capabilities
andvendors to help drive best-in-industry Medicare Stars
performance.Responsible for identifying innovativestrategies to set
market leading performance for Anthem across all MedicareStars
dimensions. Must have deep industry connections to cutting
edgestrategies and external partners that can accelerate and
maintain Anthem as anindustry leader in Medicare Stars. Works
collaboratively with Stars leaders andMedicare local leadership to
establish baseline capabilities and developstrategies for
capability enhancement.Extensive market knowledge and research
capability is necessary to bestbe able to evaluate opportunities.
Collaborates and coordinates work withpeers, other departments
within Medicare, and matrix/shared service partners(including but
not limited to Pharmacy, Quality, Innovation, Digital
Operations,Actuarial, IT, and HCM). Primaryduties to include, but
are not limited to:
- Defines the strategy and works directly with internal
andexternal entities to influence and provide guidance and
direction on thestrategy, design, and implementation of products or
processes (e.g. improvingSTARS performance).
- Serves as the subject matter expert and primary
ProductDevelopment contact across the enterprise and for all
Regional Medicare andMedicaid Plan Presidents.
- Influences, coordinates, and facilitates
enterpriseproduct/process innovation and product/process
development activities (e.g.evaluating internal/external
capabilities, identifying market leadingperformance strategies,
creating product strategies, developing proposals), inpartnership
with the regional Market Innovation Directors.
- Utilizes partnerships with Product Development Support
team,industry connections and/or external partners to identify best
practices anddevelop cutting edge strategies.
- Develops a 3 to 5 year product strategy and plan for
thespecific business products and/or processes (STARS
- Collaborates and coordinates work with peers, otherdepartments
within Medicare, and matrix/shared service partners (e.g.
Finance,Actuarial, IT, Digital Operations, Quality, Pharmacy, HCM,
CSBD, CAO, andIngenioRx) to identify capability enhancements and
innovative solutions,establish accountabilities and ensure
connectivity between shared services andenterprise business
initiatives (e.g. creating innovative products/programs,increasing
specific STARS results across the Anthem footprint). Requires a
BA/BS degree; 10 years of product management,Medicare, and Medicaid
experience; or any combination of education andexperience, which
would provide an equivalent background. Thorough Medicare
andMedicaid knowledge required. Demonstrated results in three or
more of thefollowing areas required: Product Development,
Innovation, Market Strategy,Market Research, Stars metric
improvement or Risk Management. MBA preferred.
