Senior Training Manager

Job Description:

NowPow is seeking a Training Manager to join our fast-growing team. This position is based in Chicago and reports to our Head of Customer Success and Community Engagement. The Training Manager plays a vital role in helping NowPow equip customers, end user and internal teams for success. The role is multi-faceted, supporting a variety of functions, including performing and managing training development, creating core curriculum content, delivering high quality end user training, and implementing communication strategies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all learning content, development, and delivery of customer facing training programs, including web-based seminars, workbooks, in-person group sessions, training videos, and training follow-ups
  • Works with customers to determine training needs, and tailors content and delivery for customer specific use cases
  • Reviews existing training materials and training strategies to identify and implement new best practices
  • Reviews, modifies, and creates new core content for the knowledge base to ensure assets stay current
  • Schedules training sessions, organizes training logistics and manages participation
  • Oversees webinar strategy, including webinar content, monthly scheduling with Customer Success and Community Engagement teams, and post-webinar analytics to evaluate delivery and effectiveness
  • Works with Customer Success managers to address end-user adoption issues, learning barriers, and ongoing educational needs to drive customer usage and product confidence
  • Manages costs for all training programs, materials, and works with third-party vendors to ensure high-quality training assets within budget
  • Maintains an understanding of new educational and training techniques and method
  • Develops and delivers customer-facing communication materials across the customer base
  • Helps department leads create core curriculum requirements for new hire training and leads the onboarding process for new employees within Customer Success and Community Engagement Requirements:
    • 5-7 years of training or teaching experience, a plus
    • Experience establishing training processes, leading a variety of training programs to achieve results
    • Experience designing and implementing training materials, curriculums, and communication plans
    • Strong commitment to deadlines, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence, educate, and facilitate effective working relationships customers and end users
    • Ability to generate new ideas, iterate on various processes, and provide thought leadership to customers and NowPow leadership on training strategies and delivery
    • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills and comfortable with leveraging technology like Customer Relationship Management tools in workflow
