  • And so much more!What You Will Do:Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
    • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
    • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
    • Monitor and adhere to budget.
    • Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.What You Will Need:Licensure / Certification / Registration:
      • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date reqired.
      • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:
        • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required.Work Experience:
          • 3 years of experience required.
          • 1 year of leadership or management experience required.Additional Preferences:
            Responsibilities
            • Retains Stroke Program oversight for Resurrection Medical Center.
            • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to determine the processes needed for the CSC/PSC Program.
            • Assists to determine criteria and methods needed to ensure that both the operation and control of these processes is effective.
            • Ensures the availability of resources and information necessary to support the operation and monitoring of these processes.
            • Monitors, measures where applicable, and analyzes these processes.
            • Implements actions necessary to achieve planned results and continual improvement of these processes.
            • Responsible for ensuring that the monitoring requirements of the CSC/PSC program are implemented and maintained.
            • Participates in determining the CSC/PSC program methodology, practice and related policies for addressing how quality and performance are measured, monitored, analyzed and continually improved to improve health outcomes and reduce risks for patients.
            • Attends minimum of 8 hours of stroke related continuing education annually.
            • Acts as liaison between system leadership and local stroke program/ team.
            • Facilitate the planning and implementation of community outreach programs for stroke awareness and prevention promotion, coordinating efforts across the system. Education/or Experience
              • Stroke Certification RN through American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (SCRN) preferred.
              • One-three years of clinical experience with neurovascular patients and stroke program certification preferred.
              • BSN or currently enrolled in a BSN program strongly preferred; MSN preferred.
