Field Sales Manager Coravin, Inc. - Headquarters: Bedford, MA (Greater Boston Area)Job Location: Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, or Los Angeles

The Position
Reporting to the Senior Director B2B Sales, Coravin's Field Sales Manager will achieve sales volume and distribution objectives of the company by managing and coaching a team of On-Premise Sales Representatives to make their standards of performance goals through proper planning, organization, training, and execution. You will work in tandem with the Senior Director of Sales, Trade Marketing Manager, Inside Sales Representative, and Coravin Brand Ambassador.
Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of On-Premise Sales Representatives; evaluate performance against established developmental goals
  • Pre-plans prior to the beginning of each sales period by holding a one on one meeting with each representative, strategizing on how best to achieve goals and objectives, and when applicable, helping representatives define target accounts.
  • Conducts effective one on one weekly sales meetings with Restaurant Account Managers by communicating sales objectives and programs, identifying opportunities, reviewing performance against goals, and guiding team members on how to close gaps.
  • Addresses any skill deficiencies of Restaurant Account Manager by developing customized coaching plans, tracking progress, and recording improvement against them.
  • Demonstrates strong customer orientation by maintaining relationships with key accounts, identifying account opportunities, performing customer business reviews, developing opening orders with new accounts, and resolving customer complaints.
  • Participates in the associate interview and selection process by working with human resources to source candidates, schedule interviews, conduct interviews, and manage the onboarding process.
  • Establish KPI's for success and corresponding reporting to be shared up to leadership.
  • Resolves customer issues by following appropriate administrative processes and company policies and escalating issues to management as appropriate.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Develop territory sales plans to achieve goals and objectives taking into consideration unique customer segments
  • Coach each sales consultant on the effectiveness of their Sales pre-plan including agenda, visit notes, opportunities, to align with the territory sales plan
  • Coach each sales consultant on how to build an effective pipeline of opportunities in CRM to achieve their Objectives; increase product knowledge, resolving workload issues, encourage satisfaction, and cultivate career growth
  • Analyze and manage team expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Identify and attend industry events, associations, and clubs supporting restaurants and hotels to gain access to owners/proprietors, beverage/wine directors, and Sommeliers.

      Minimum Requirements
      • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on business management, sales, or marketing fields
      • A minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • 3+ years in early-stage/start-up environment a plus
      • An understanding of wine and spirits is required.
      • Must be a results-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.
      • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
      • Expected to spend 85% of the time in the trade, with 15% office time
