This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.
Must Haves / Notes from Manger:The IT Risk Manager position is responsible for managing regulatory compliance projects for IT and information security. This is a hands-on role with one direct report. The role must understand IT compliance responsibilities, define tasks, dependencies, and timelines to fill these responsibilities, and manage these projects. The position will orchestrate IT staff, security analysts, business managers and third-party vendors to contribute to project tasks as needed. An important responsibility of this role is to define an annual plan and present status against the plan with executive-level status updates. As needed, this role will also assist IT and infosec teams with planning and tracking large projects.

  • 5+ years experience in IT project management
  • 1+ years experience in financial services or mortgage banking
  • Ability to conduct business process analysis, gap analysis, and process risk assessment Expert project management skills
    • Ability to develop and execute strategic projects and drive performance improvement
    • Excellent cross-functional project management, negotiation, facilitation and leadership skills
    • Excellent analytical, problem identification, structuring, and solving skills with the ability to design solutions
    • Team player and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop polished communications for the entire bank, senior management and IT staff Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally with employees and senior executives
      • Strong leadership, team-building, and persuasive communications skills to build buy-in at all levels; ability to lead, influence change and think outside the box
      • Must be self-motivated, team oriented and able to operate with little or no supervision
      • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams)
      • Advanced Excel data analysis and text manipulation skills
      • Advanced MS Word and Powerpoint formatting EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
        • Bachelors degree in business, business analytics, economics or related field
        • Project management (PMP) certification a plus
        • Mortgage experience is not required
        • Experience taking multiple projects from inception, through user acceptance testing and onto deployment is preferred
          Day to DayExpected Project Scope BCP/DR User certification User management procedure design and maintenance Change control procedure design and maintenance Vendor management Tracking the remediation of gaps and finding from audits and risk assessments Gathering and tracking of documentation required for audits and regulatory exams IT policy update tracking; manage board approval process Support for risk assessments and project planning/management Understand FFIEC IT booklet guidance and compare practices to confirm compliance Security metrics analysis for presentation to IT and business management Other information security projects as assigned
          Critical Regulatory Projects User Managemento Plan and execute projects to certify user accounts across all systems and applicationso Provide expertise within the bank for user management standards, including procedure development, policies and standards, and best practices BCP/DRo Perform annual business continuity and disaster recovery plan updateo Oversee and orchestrate annual BCP and DR testing process Vendor Management: Orchestrate the vendor management and risk review process, including new vendor risk reviews and annual risk management processes Oversee other regulatory compliance projects as needed, including risk assessments, finding remediation and validation, etc.
          Project Management Manage own projects Assist infrastructure and information security areas in planning and managing projects Create detailed project plans with scope, tasks, effort, resource requirements, expected deliverables, schedule and milestones, risks and dependencies Document as-is and to-be processes and target solutions to more accurately define project plan Track progress against a detailed project schedule and work plan Provide weekly status to IT management for each project including accomplishments, next steps and timeline/steps to completion for each project Present project status in IT Committee meetingsOther Exhibit creativity and tenacity in pursuing project goals, organizing scarce resources to contribute to the project delivery on schedule Actively seek suggestions for improvement of the Information Security group.
