Job DescriptionWinsight is a leading B2B information services company focused on the food and beverage industry, providing insight and market intelligence to business leaders in every channel consumers buy food and beverage – convenience stores, grocery retailing, restaurants and noncommercial foodservice – through media, events, data products, advisory services, and trade shows.Position ObjectiveWinsight is looking for a Sales Development Manager to lead our growing team of Business Development Managers and Associates. This individual will be responsible for setting and tracking sales targets, implementing improvements in the sales administration process and generating revenue through the management and motivation of revenue staff.Position Responsibilities

  • Set and track sales targets for your team
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare sales forecast across all Media & Events departments
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales
  • Recruit, onboarding, train and optimize a team of BDAs responsible for outbound sales engagements
  • Train BDAs to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities
  • Ensure BDAs improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity
  • Work closely with the sales leadership team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes
  • Oversee usage of sales technology including Salesforce, Salesloft, and LinkedIn Navigator
  • Monitor KPIs and holding teams accountable for their activity
  • Responsible for keeping up with changing trends and creating new approaches for outreach
  • Regularly report on team/individual resultsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Bachelor's degree or other advanced degree
    • 5+ years of B2B Sales
    • 3+ years of management experience with varying aspects of customer service, telemarketing, sales and territory
    • Proven track record of meeting performance metrics
    • Experience managing and improving sales development KPIs
    • Experience using Salesloft, Salesforce, and LinkedIn Navigator
    • Experience with management of staff productivity and incentive campaignsWinsight is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
