Job Description

The Resource Management Initiatives Manager will work on key initiatives related to the implementation of Resource Management and Workforce Planning at dentsu. The role will consider the entire capability from vision/principles to process to technology to change and team organization structure. Depending on the project phase and the needs of the market/service line, the role's focus may shift amongst these various elements.

Each of our markets/sls is starting at a different point as we look to build and implement this new capability. We have to 'meet them where they are' and seek reasonable paths forward, while also ensuring that we stay true to the global vision and design. The person will have to balance 'theory and practice' and bring a pragmatic approach to finding the way forward.

The person in this role will also provide direct, hands on support as needed to drive forward implementation such as helping with data migration tasks or creating / delivering training. The intent would be to jump in and help with whatever needs to be done.

Thus - the person in this role will need to pivot from task to task, and quickly jump in and build relationships with a variety of people across HR, Resource Management, Operations, Finance and Business Leaders. Their specific portfolio will evolve over time based on both tactical issues and strategic priorities. Initial areas of focus are in the Americas, but could also be in EMEA or APAC. Our over-arching vision is to make sound resource management and workforce planning decisions that will benefit our people, our clients, and our business.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Works to define and implement new / evolved solutions to improve our overall Resource Management and WFP functions.
  • Maintains understanding of resource management and workforce planning processes, metrics and capabilities and how they are used to fulfill client demand and meet the needs of our people.
  • Active participant in design and implementation calls bring both the 'global view' and the 'local view' and ensuring that the discussion is balance.
  • Takes specific actions to move initiatives forward - which could include: completing design deliverables, testing technology solutions, describing solutions/approaches to end users, creating/preparing delivering training, etc.
  • Provide feedback during design and after implementation - considering their own experience and the feedback of stakeholders - so that current and future solutions are shaped to optimally meet the needs of the business and people.
  • Advises leadership, HR and RM colleagues and line personnel on resource management processes and best practices
  • Collaborates with a variety of stakeholders to define and implement both tactical and strategic solutions.
    Qualifications
    • 5+ years of experience in Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Resource Management, Recruiting, Business Operations or other related fields.
    • Bias for quick action and collaborative problem solving
    • Ability to translate strategies/visions into detailed, workable solutions
    • Experience shaping new processes/improvements and successfully implementing them
    • Understanding of the digital/advertising industry or related industries (e.g. professional services)
    • Change management / Influencing Skills
    • Ability to connect with people across a variety of business functions/disciplines and understand their unique needs
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to accommodate meetings with people around the world.
    • Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
