The Regional Manager, HR will serve as a business partner to their
respective Operating Unit. This role will act as a trusted advisor
and coach to help fulfill the business objectives through human
capital and people leadership and ultimately be responsible for
implementing and supporting Pactiv Evergreen HR programs, processes
and initiatives.
Reporting Relationship:The Regional Sr Manager, HR will report
directly into the HR Sr. Director of the Foodservice Business
Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR business partner to the Operating Unit
developing HR strategies, performing needs assessments and
designing HR solutions;
- Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of all HR
programs and services across the Operating Unit to include Talent
Acquisition and Onboarding, Talent Management & Employee
Development, Change Management, Compensation, Performance
Management, Workforce Planning, Internal Communications, & Employee
Engagement;
- Responsible for the HR results across the Operating Unit
including associated financial results
- Drive all HR integration efforts between the newly acquired
Operating Unit and Pactiv Evergreen
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key HR
partners from the HR Centers of Excellence to ensure HR programs
are well coordinated and business needs are met;
- Develop proposals and recommendations to resolve strategic
people issues affecting the Operating Unit;
- Serve as an HR advisor to the Operating Unit employees by
providing coaching, feedback, counseling, and mentoring as
needed;
- Maintain a working knowledge of the legal requirements related
to day to day management of employees and ensure regulatory
compliance with all legal requirements across the Operating
Unit;
- Anticipate people related Operating Unit needs and take the
initiative to identify and execute effective solutions;
- Design and implement employee retention strategies to minimize
unwanted turnover, particularly within the critical strategic roles
and specialty skill areas across the Operating Unit;
- Be highly visible within the various Operating Unit facilities
and engage frequently with hourly and salaried employees in support
of building a trusting, transparent and constructive work
environment;
- Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports to support
their growth and development positioning them for career
advancement within PTVE.
- Responsible for providing overarching support to the respective
plant HR departments for employee relations activities, day-to-day
employee issues, and employee investigations;
- Utilize analytical skills to evaluate data sets and identify
solutions that drive successful business decisions and
initiatives.
- For unionized facilities, partner with local PTVE management
team and local bargaining unit to ensure the terms and conditions
of the collective bargaining agreement are properly enforced.
Support the Company's efforts during the union contract negotiation
process.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- A BS/BA degree with a concentration in Human Resources,
Industrial Psychology, Communications or related field is
preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Human Resource role
within a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
- Experience managing multiple sites and a team of geographically
dispersed HR staff is required.
- Knowledge of applicable state, federal, local employment/labor
laws and regulations.
- Must possess the analytical skills necessary to diagnose trends
from HR data sets and link those trends to plant performance;
- Strong change management and project management skills;
- Experience with driving culture and engagement strategies &
initiatives;
- Strong talent management experience including the assessment of
talent gaps and development of countermeasures designed to close
those gaps and strengthen the talent bench;
- Familiarity with HR process best practices and experience at
driving process improvement;
- Effective communicator with strong relationship building skills
at every level from hourly worker to Plant Manager, Operations
Director and BU leadership team;
- Proven success working cross-functionally with an emphasis in
coaching and performance management;
- High energy, multi-tasking, results oriented people leader with
fundamental business acumen and the managerial courage to
respectfully challenge the status quo;
- Must possess a strategic mindset with a willingness to engage
in the day to day activities of the plant HR department;
- Must possess the leadership agility to pivot between complying,
advocating, counseling, influencing and directing;
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast paced work
