Job Description:
Summary of Position:OYO is a high growth, disruptive and
technology-led business that is transforming the era of the
hospitality industry. The Business Development Director ("BD
Director") is OYO's central sales position, which has as the
primary duty prospecting hotel owners/chains to partner with OYO
and leverage OYO's proprietary suite of services. This work is
performed customarily and regularly in the field, including at
hotel properties.Essential Functions: --- Drive new revenue by
analysing key market trends and real estate developments in the
assigned territories, identifying new hotel and hospitality leads
through own network as well as internal qualified leads --- Focus
on negotiating and closing sales deals through physical
visits/meetings with hotel owners/managers --- Negotiate deals to
close consistent with OYO guidelines, and in a manner that
leverages internal resources to create a mutually-profitable
business relationship --- Develop territory plans, establish
rapport and form long-term relationships with property owners and
other key stakeholders from initial lead generation through sale,
transformation, and "go-live" date of property --- Share expertise
with other BDMs in the team on relationship management and
effective negotiations --- Other duties as assignedQualifications:
--- Minimum 6 years of experience in sales or business development,
preferably in the hospitality industry --- Ability to work, cold
call, prospect, negotiate, and close deals as an individual
contributor --- Demonstrated success with structuring and
negotiating complex deals, and solving business problems. ---
Business-savvy with a sales-oriented mindset that will help
establish OYO as a key technology-driven hotel network in an
ethical manner --- Successful track record as a self-starter;
internally motivated, organized, and disciplined --- Bachelor's,
Associate, or other post-high school degree, or comparable work
experience, preferred --- Intermediate to Expert proficiency with
CRM systems, G Suite and Microsoft Office products including:
Docs/Word, Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, and other SaaS business
tools --- Knowledge of local hospitality associations and
pre-established relationships with hotel owners is preferred ---
Preferred Languages are Hindi (Spoken), Gujrati (Spoken) apart from
