Regional Director-WIC Food and Nutrition Program - #1825 Essential Functions* of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below: 1. Directly responsible for the overall management of the daily operations of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Food and Nutrition Program including: WIC Food Centers, Episodic Daycare, and Special Projects. Duties include but are not limited to: planning and programming for assigned programs, ensures adequate staffing to meet client needs and ensures compliance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.
2. Responsible for service and retail management, maintaining department fiscal integrity, refining and maintaining program outcomes and overseeing continuous quality improvement procedures.
3. Responsible for hiring, coaching, supervising, evaluating, training, and professional development of staff and for assigning work to staff and ensuring the work is performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and provides guidance, when necessary.
4. Stays up to date on work trends by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
5. Collaborates with WIC clinics to market and outreach the WIC program and WIC Food Centers to potential clients and families and works with with Agency personnel in providing wrap-around services to WIC Food Center clients.
6. Works with Agency Government Relations and Foundations department to secure government and private financial resources for new initiatives.
7. Maintains statistical data and routinely reviews data to ensure quality service provision and enhancements in programming and ensures monthly and quarterly annual reports are prepared and delivered on time.
9. Actively participates in strategic planning and identifies trends and opportunities for program expansion and implements and monitors departmental budgets, and makes adjustments in order to maintain fiscal integrity.
10. Must maintain a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays as necessary and routinely conducts WIC site visits, responds to WIC related issues and travels between sites. PLEASE NOTE:* Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.X Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day.
X Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
X Climb up and down up to 7 flights of stairs at a time.
X Lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:Master's Degree Related Field
Minimum: Bachlor's Degree Related FieldRelevant Experience:
Preferred:7-10 years of retail management, budget management and supervisory experience
Minimum: 5-7 years of related work experience, budget management and supervisory experienceCertification/Licensure:
Preferred: Related Certification
Minimum: N/A
