Position SummaryThe Brand Director will report into the Chief Marketing Officer and will be responsible for leading strategic brand development and commercialization for one of SIP's newly launched brands. He/she will be focused on the goals of building brand equity and driving short and long-term business growth.This senior position requires an experienced, consumer-centric brand builder who has both a solid marketing and analytical background. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in building a premium brand from the ground up in an entrepreneurial/start-up environment.
Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities1) - - - -Brand Plan Development: Leads the development of the annual Brand Plan, working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Design to drive impact on the Brand.2) - - - -Product Innovation: Helps lead and plan product innovation initiatives within the brand and SIP portfolio.3) - - - -Brand Plan Execution: Executes Brand Plan initiatives by collaborating with external agencies and internal resources. Works both "above the forest" and "in the trees" to deliver impact both on consumers and on the trade via local and national marketing initiatives.4) - - - -Marketing Budget Ownership: Manages and optimizes the entire Brand marketing budget.5) - - - -Analysis & Optimization: Leads the monthly and annual analysis and reporting of Brand performance across all initiatives, leveraging insights, and constantly optimizing to drive ROI.
-Job RequirementsExperience / Background - - - - - - - - -Minimum Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) - - - - - - - - -At least 8 years of CPG marketing experience (preferably at an alcoholic beverage company). - - - - - - - - -Must currently be at the Brand Director or Brand Manager level - - - - - - - - -Strong digital/eCommerce marketing acumen - - - - - - - - -Experience leading and managing a team - - - - - - - - -Must be based in the Chicago areaPersonal Characteristics - - - - - - - - -Entrepreneurial and Proactive Mindset - - - - - - - - -Strategic and analytical thinker - - - - - - - - - -"Player/coach" who can build a plan and then execute that plan - - - - - - - - -Willingness to get hands dirty as is necessary in a highly dynamic startup environment - - - - - - - - -Sense of urgency and bias for actionStrong written and oral communication skills
