The Commercial Banking Talent & Diversity, Equity, Inclusion team (CB Talent & DEI team) works extensively across CB to drive the talent and DEI strategy and support key talent and DEI initiatives that are integrated within the business and culture. TheCB DEI Lead will be responsible for developing and executing CB's DEI strategy and leading key DEI initiatives focused on diverse talent management, career development, employee education and engagement, DEI goal setting and metrics tracking, and team/leader effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who will bring DEI expertise, project management, analytical skills and communication skills to drive strategies and initiatives in support of the DEI agenda. The CB DEI Lead will be part of the Commercial Bank Talent & DEI team and will report to the Head of CB Talent & DEI with a matrix reporting line into the firmwide DEI team. The individual will partner with HR Business Advisors to support CB senior business leaders, as well as work closely with HR and DEI teams across the firm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR advisory, talent advisors and other key execution partners to inspire, shape and implement an innovative DEI strategy and execution plan for the Commercial Bank, with connectivity to firm wide efforts.
  • Build relationships with strategic partners such as the firmwide DEI leads and the Firmwide Diversity function.
  • Create transparency to the portfolio of DEI offerings both across and within the respective businesses in order to identify best practices and create a consistent roadmap.
  • Leverage a data-driven approach to sharpen focus and ROI of DEI activities to ensure investment is aligned with our most impactful priorities.
  • Manage the process for validating, sharing and interpreting diversity scorecard data and related analyses.
  • Partner with the CB Talent Advisors to provide a critical focus on DEI for key strategic efforts such as manager excellence, talent development.
  • Promote an inclusive culture through education of CB HR and other groups in the firm to advocate for the firmwide DEI agenda.
  • Operate with a global and firmwide lens, demonstrating flexibility for nuances in strategy and execution.
  • Project or program manage the execution of key elements of the DEI agenda across or within the CB businesses leveraging advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills. Key Skills/Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5-7 years of prior experience in Human Resources, Talent Development and/or DEI
    • Exceptional experience and proven track record in partnering across complex organizations and leading a portfolio of work in support of multiple priorities
    • Results oriented, creative problem solver, with proven ability to demonstrate initiative.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative manner on execution; Comfortable with ambiguity, adapts to change and navigates large organizations with confidence
    • Strong data and analytical skillset with highly tuned Excel, Tableau user, Business Objects and Qlikview knowledge
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively through PowerPoint and other written communications.
