MD Analytics is a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical market research agency with a newly launched and rapidly growing US division. Over the past two decades, MD Analytics has grown to be one of the largest and most respected research agencies in Canada, being recognized for exceptional quality in reporting and client services.
In 2020, the company announced its expansion into the US market and is in the process of growing its US-based research team. To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced market researcher with proven ability to bring in new business and to lead quantitative and qualitative market research studies in the healthcare or pharmaceutical categories.
The Opportunity: Vice President Client Services:
As a VP of Client Services, you will leverage our passion, industry expertise, resources, and your experience to develop and manage US clientele. You will also have the opportunity to develop and lead a localized virtual team of market researchers to support you in the achievement of your revenue and profitability goals. You will be further supported by our internal field, data visualization, and senior management teams.
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, US Country Lead, this role will encourage and support your strategic thinking and leadership skills as the US division continues its rapid development. Opportunities to participate in company initiatives outside your role and contribute to a strong company culture will be encouraged and supported.
MD Analytics is also a leader in remote work. The company transitioned all employees to fully remote positions in 2017. Candidates for this position should be comfortable working full-time from home and be willing to engage in a well-established remote work company culture. Limited travel will also be required to attend in-person company meetings, industry conferences, in-person research, and to visit clients.
Key responsibilities of this role include:


  • Seeks out and establishes partnership-like relationships with clients in the target market of biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device manufacturers in the USA


    • Proactively manages assigned revenue and profitability goals
    • Leads and develops a virtual team of researchers to support the business, focusing on the development of their skills and career progression
    • Active involvement in research projects, working in partnership with team members to deliver high quality, insightful and visually appealing reports
    • Formally presents results and recommendations to clients
    • Participates in country-specific account planning and business development strategies, and contributes to and supports wider company initiatives

      The Ideal Candidate: Requirements and Experience:
      The ideal candidate will be a seasoned market research professional that is highly regarded for their expertise in the health and pharmaceutical industry and has demonstrated the ability to bring in business, both organic growth and repeat business. They will have outstanding client management, research design, and report writing skills. Extremely driven to succeed, they are looking to take their career to the next level. Experience developing and managing a team would be an asset as they grow and develop our US business.

      • 10+ years of experience in primary market research, including 5+ of those years servicing clients in the company's target market.
      • Proven history of successfully developing and managing a large number of client accounts.
      • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet tight timelines, while constantly focusing on maintaining high client satisfaction scores.
      • Willingness to regularly travel to meet with clients across the USA.
      • A university degree is required, a focus in marketing, health sciences, statistics or other relevant discipline is preferred.
      • A good communicator, verbal and written, with strong English comprehension.
      • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; familiarity in SPSS, R or other equivalent statistical software packages is a plus.
