Job Description
U.S. Bank is looking for a new Sustainable Finance Data Analytics Manager (DAM) to join our new and growing Sustainable Finance Team. The PM will report to the Managing Director of Sustainable Finance.
The enterprise Sustainable Finance Team is a new bank-wide function responsible for driving progress and accountability for the enterprise Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) commercial strategy and roadmap. The team will bring specialized expertise to support and enable U.S. Bank lines of business to capture ESG business opportunity, working alongside business leaders from around the bank to mobilize capital towards ESG commitments and meet client ESG needs.
The Sustainable Finance Team will drive successful implementation of the enterprise ESG commercial strategy, support and enable lines of business to integrate ESG into their business strategy, and have the following four areas of focus: 1) Technical expertise, consulting and advising; 2) Cross business line support; 3) Sustainable finance frameworks and taxonomies; 4) Strategy and governance:
The Sustainable Finance Data Analytics Manager (DAM) will report to the Managing Director of Sustainable Finance. The DAM will lead the administration, configuration, management, and implementation of the enterprise-wide Sustainable Finance Data Platform. This includes the configuration, collection, and analysis of lending and investing activities across bank lines of businesses to support sustainable finance strategic planning, goals tracking and internal/external reporting.
Objectives



  • Support ongoing real-time monitoring and tracking against enterprise frameworks and taxonomies, including recommendations for enhancements or adjustments to tracking processes.


  • Support and enable lines of business to develop and track targets and KPIs aligned to sustainable finance commercial strategy and implement against the execution roadmap.


  • Support broader bank-wide ESG reporting and disclosure to meet regulations and commitments including TCFD and CDP, supports development of ESG content for inclusion in Enterprise ESG report and disclosures.


    Responsibilities


    • Serve as lead systems administrator of the Sustainable Finance Data Platform.


    • Systems management/maintenance by performing regular administrative maintenance of the Sustainable Finance Data Platform.


    • Collaborate closely with data owners across enabling functions and lines of business to establish robust data collection functionality and data verification/assurance capabilities.


    • Perform analyses and create dashboards and reports based on requests from ESG Program Office and Sustainable Finance Working Group.


    • Support internal and external ESG reporting and disclosure. Contribute to the annual data collection and verification process for USB ESG Report and Sustainable Finance Report. Develop and maintain internal quarterly reporting on progress towards enterprise ESG commitments and related sustainable finance goals


    • Develop a strategic view for how the Sustainable Finance Data Platform can be leveraged and evolved over time to deliver more value across the organization


      Basic Qualifications


      • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience


      • 10 or more years of experience in project management activities


        Preferred Qualifications


        • 5-8 years data management and analytics experience working within a sustainability/corporate responsibility department or similar role in the private sector


        • Min. 5 years experience in project management and/or serving as an administrator for data platforms and/or software systems


        • Very strong technical skills in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.). Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization is a plus


        • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, can synthesize information and offer recommendations/solutions


        • Knowledge of banking environmental and socials risks and ESRM policies


        • Able to work across cross-functional teams, high level of comfort within a matrixed environment


        • Works quickly and efficiently with a consultant mindset, anticipates and meets deadlines


        • Proficient in Microsoft office applications - Teams, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, etc.


        • Previous experience the banking industry, preferred.


        • Collaborative and team player mindset; builder of strong relationships

            The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,010.00 - $130,600.00 - $143,660.00
