Position Summary: The Director, GBS Project & Integration Management will contribute to success by planning, executing and managing projects of varying size, scope and complexity using sound judgement, strong interpersonal skills and effective tools and techniques. Projects typically require business and technology focus and may deliver new or enhanced capabilities to multiple functional areas; or, may support a larger cross functional program. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of a project from concept to implementation and operationalization. More specifically, you will be integral to the successful integration of new merger partners onto the Gallagher suite of systems and processes. As a key member of the integration team, you will be responsible for building relationships with business leaders, key stakeholders, the project team and any vendors and/or consultants. In addition to project management responsibilities, you will often lead and be responsible for requirements elicitation and documentation, business analysis, data analysis, test planning and test execution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Project Initiation and Planning Lead the integration of new merger and acquisition partners onto the Gallagher Benefit Services (GBS) suite of systems and processes, ensuring that all required sub-projects, work streams and activities are identified, planned, and managed for successful integration. In collaboration with new merger partners, Gallagher leadership, and other project management stakeholders, develop merger integration project plans that reflect analysis of current state, characterize future state, and properly document project goals, scope, stakeholders, risks, issues, success criteria, and effort and resource estimates. Develop project plans using proven Project Management Institute best practices and methodology, and incorporate enough flexibility to tailor plans to achieve desired business goals. Determine the resources (time, cost, technology, etc.) required to plan successful projects and sub-projects. Create detailed work plans which identify the sequence of activities needed to successfully complete M&A integration - Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and project prior to commencement of project activities. This includes presenting the project schedule with senior leadership and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revising the schedule as required Project Execution and Oversight: Proactively manage integration project plan(s) to deliver them in-scope, on-time and on-budget while enforcing checkpoints and managing and documenting change-control efforts Maintain an objective, fact-based perspective while overseeing projects. Encourage teams to promote project status transparency and proactively recommend opportunities to improve and support better project outcomes Develop and monitor the implementation Cost Benefit Analysis as appropriate, effectively sequencing activities in way that drives the best allocation of resources and time. Manage all project & integration funds according to established accounting policies and procedures Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate; aid in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, and financial conditions of contracts, as appropriate. Oversee consultant activities and manage statements of work as appropriate. - Review the quality of work completed with the project team and various work streams on a regular basis to ensure the work meets integration standards Ensure support organizations are prepared with properly documented instructions, workflows and job aides for a successful transition to ongoing/business as usual Ensure that integration activities are completed on-time, within budget and at the required level of quality as defined by project sponsors. Identify opportunities to modify current processes or procedures to reduce costs or improve productivity through observation, request or assignment Project Communication & Change Management: Create, maintain and deliver project communications including: status updates, charters, schedules, budgets and sponsor presentations Develop project status reports that accurately reflect the project achievements, risks and issues for all key stakeholders, including organizing and facilitating Project Steering Committees Promote use of project team shared sites or dashboards to ensure that all project management information is appropriately documented, secured and available to team members Enable change management with newly acquired merger employees as they move to Gallagher's culture, systems and operations Coordinate with Communications team to create a communication schedule to share status and provide updates to all levels of the organization ranging from leaders to users on the progress and impact of the project Manage the creation and deployment of training (environment, materials and facilitation) in conjunction with Learning & Development teams Best Practices Development: Identify opportunities to modify current processes or procedures to reduce costs or improve productivity through observation, request or assignment With each project, document lessons learned and develop improvements that can be moved to established repeatable processes for the future Make recommendations to senior leadership and other divisional stakeholders on how to develop systems, processes, and approaches that improve the integration experience and increase program effectiveness. Required: Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in Computer Science/Info Systems/MIS, Mathematics/Statistics Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree Experience managing a team preferred Broad and deep expertise in project management tools, techniques and processes Demonstrated project management skills, techniques & various methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, Scrum) Experience with business project management, business processes, workflow, data flow and system integration projects Expertise with change management as it relates to systems, operational changes and integration In-depth knowledge of insurance brokerage industry and enabling technologies desired Highly skilled in Project Management tools and desktop tools Must be a self-starter, having demonstrated experience in a lead role, be well organized and a strong leader who can adapt easily and rapidly to new developments and changing priorities Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibit poise and exercise diplomacy in communication, ability to influence others toward consensus, conflict management and decision making Exceptional analytical, problem solving and consensus building skills Strong in critical thinking, data analysis and reporting, risk and controls and process improvement Strong collaboration, negotiation, escalation and influencing sills Strong business and organizational acumen, leadership abilities, good judgment, appropriateness and encouragement U.S. Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidates must submit an application and resume/CV online to be considered Are you 18 years of age or older or can you demonstrate legal capacity to enter a contract?
