Startex Industries is a leading manufacturer of contract
furnishings for the hospitality and lodging market. For over 15
years, our mission has been to deliver better, faster, value-driven
FF&E solutions while providing an unmatched customer
experience. Startex is seeking a dynamic, experienced sales and
marketing leader to join the executive team as Vice President of
Sales and Marketing. This is a newly reinstated position, developed
as part of a strategic reorganization of the company in response to
increased industry demand. The VP of Sales and Marketing will lead
the department through transition, building new teams, processes
and systems to manage continued growth. Industry experience and a
history of managing change through rapid growth are critical to
this role. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of
building accountable teams, using analytics to create effective
sales and marketing strategies, building successful partnerships
and achieving revenue and growth goals. This is a full-time, hybrid
onsite position with flexibility for agreed-upon remote work. Key
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for all aspects of the company's sales and
marketing functions
- Develop and execute long-term business objectives that support
growth, profitability, and ROI targets
- Collaborate with senior leadership team to build and implement
an effective strategic plan. Primary responsibility for development
of the sales and marketing component of the strategic plan.
Successfully execute strategic sales, marketing, and customer
service plan objectives
- Develop, implement, and monitor critical sales and marketing
metrics to assure top line growth objectives are met or
exceeded
- Directly oversee major client business opportunities. Develop
long term partnerships with clients consistent with company value
proposition
- Develop and implement effective analytics. Use a data driven
approach to business development activity
- Implement an accurate sales forecast for business planning use
by senior management team. Assure forecast is updated on a
scheduled basis.
- Oversee the organization's pricing structure, ensuring
competitive status and account profitability
- Assure the growth and development of sales, marketing, and
customer service employees to support long term professional growth
and readiness for additional responsibilities
- 10+ years of product sales and marketing experience with at
least 5 years in a direct leadership capacity
- Pervasive understanding of the hospitality and lodging
industries, including the responsibilities of each stakeholder,
contract procurement practices, and key industry leaders
- Strong track record of strategic goal setting to accomplish
immediate and long-term objectives, with the ability to recommend
and implement actions, both personally and through the
department
- Proven experience creating teams that perform independently and
practice continuous improvement, with a focus on fostering
individual team strengths and maximizing overall potential
- A true collaborator who can be a thought leader and advisor to
the CEO, and a leading voice as part of the senior leadership
team
- Willing to travel up to 20% for major client meetings,
tradeshows, and other strategic interactions
- Advanced knowledge of Google Suite, Excel and CRM tools
