DESCRIPTION: Director, Revenue Management what you will BE DOING:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Revenue
Management is responsible for overseeing, supporting, and
supervising the revenue operations at the hotel. The Director of
Revenue Management will be responsible for executing strategic
initiatives to maximize room revenue opportunities and guest
satisfaction. The Director plays a key role in helping create a
positive work environment that all employees will enjoy coming to
work and are able to exceed the expectations of every guest. This
includes providing equipment, materials, methodology, knowledge,
education and information vital to making every day successful.
Lead, oversee, and support the revenue operations Manage demand,
forecasting, and inventory as it relates to driving revenue
opportunity for the hotel Maximize room revenues through a thorough
understanding of all booking channels, managing inventory and rate
accordingly Prepare an annual budget for approval and administer
that budget in a fiscally responsible manner Monitor transient and
group book pace to determine pricing and availability controls for
all reservation distributions sources Monitor key indicators of
hotel performance and third party intelligence sources to identify
revenue opportunities Liaise with Front Office and Sales to ensure
the highest level of guest service is maintained while maximizing
profit Ensure accurate and timely preparation of analytical reports
Play an active role in the strategic plan, marketing plan, and
budgeting processes Keep current with industry changes and how it
may impact demand Prepare and present weekly analytical reports
Creates and maintains a relationship with owners Represents the
hotel wherever and whenever necessary Attends Executive Committee
Meeting Maintains and improves standards, policies and procedures
as established by the hotel and corporate office (local & corporate
SPIs) and institutes working rules to meet these standards
Innovates new ideas to improve levels of service and hotel
facilities. Assists in preparing monthly GM report to corporate
office Fosters a team environment by encouraging the development
and learning of new skills Any other tasks that may be assigned
your experience and skills include: 5-7 years senior hotel
management experience Previous senior hotel management experience
in a similar size 4 star/4 diamond property highly preferred
Experience in communicating with Presidents, CEOs, and Vice
Presidents of company an asset 5+ years experience in communicating
with property owners an asset Knowledge of applicable government
regulations and requirements. Strong knowledge of Property
Management system and Excel Good knowledge of Delphi / Opera Sales
and Catering, IDeaS Revenue Management Software Channel Management
system, Central Reservations system and GDS Demonstrate strong
communication skills both verbally and in writing Ability to deal
with sensitive situations in an effective manner Analytical
approach to problem solving Ability to work in a stressful
environment and to assume the role of a solution oriented mediator.
Demonstrate ability to forecast sales, trends, labor, purchasing
while able to provide clear, consistent direction and training. The
