PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Financial Systems Transformation (Apollo) Director of Architecture
and infrastructure will lead the program implementation with hands
on focus on Infrastructure, Architecture, Solution Design and
Security. Lead product executive committees that guide product
strategies. Lead the client engagement and primary IT interface to
Exelon Business Units in the development of technology solutions
and support of IT services and products. Partner with business
clients and IT leadership in the development of a strategic
technology plan and investment strategy that meets the needs of the
business while leveraging standard enterprise architectures. Direct
a team of 40 to 100 information technology professionals (internal
employees and contracting resources) responsible for providing a
single point of contact with the business, understanding business
processes, technology needs and security requirements and
translating business requirements into appropriate technology
solutions. Work with business clients to justify and prioritize
projects investments (i.e. $1MM - $20MM) as part of the large
$250M+ program. Participate in the overall leadership of
Information Technology organization. Create and maintain strategic
relationship with key IT vendors and manage IT vendor contracts
that support this specific business segment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintain relationships with business clients, ensure business
processes and requirements are identified and well understood,
facilitate committees and forums that drive investment and
technology strategy for the supported product portfolio. (20%)
Manage relationships with system integration vendors to deliver
projects of high complexity and significant size and change
management challenges (20%)
Lead large project implementations focusing on Architecture,
Solution design and Infrastructure (15%)
Partner with business clients to justify and prioritize project
investments and manage the delivery and execution of projects,
while ensuring top quartile levels. (15%)
Drive process improvement and lead adoption of standard Management
Model processes and procedures, which deliver sustainable top
quartile cost and performance levels. (15%)
Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Promote
diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning
organization. Provide input on development and retention processes
for IT employees. (10%)

JOB SCOPE
Total Staff Managed: Dependent on exact position (40 to 60
FTE's)
Budget Managed: Dependent on exact position ($6MM - $20MM)
Impact of this position on company performance is high. This
position can adversely or positively impact earnings per share by a
combination of the performance of the products and the cost of
their delivery. Applications, products and services support
Exelon's business operations.
Reports to Vice President.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science,
Mathematics, or Engineering).
Typically 12 or more years of experience leading and managing
multiple solutions teams at the manager level or higher.
Experience with and deep knowledge of the business processes.
Previous hands on experience with business applications and/or the
product portfolio.
Demonstrated strategy planning and customer engagement skills and
experience leading organizations and people through change.
Excellent consultative skills, including teamwork, facilitation,
and negotiation. Advanced interpersonal skills, communications
skills, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to present
and discuss complex technical information in a way that establishes
rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval
5 years of supervisory experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate degree in Information Systems or related discipline or
MBA.
Hands on knowledge of Oracle Cloud based suit of products
(specifically Oracle ERP, EPM, OAC, FAW, etc)
Hands on knowledge of Exelon Security and Middleware
architecture
Proven record of managing large system implementations
